I love this guy. Easily my favorite player in the nation.

 

I think ESPN shouldn't say he is on the BYU cougars or whatever, I think they should say he is on the cavs. Is Jimmer a 1 or 2?

We are way down this year. Usually have a good to really good team but this has been a tough season.

MSU is always a hard game. I thought the game last year was at UK. Shouldn't it be at MSU this year?

Like I said, we usually have a good team but not this year - UK should cruise.

 

Our only hope of making the NCAAT is to win the SECT.

Anyway, some of the worst officiating of all time at the end of the Rutgers/St Johns game. Wow. I am stunned. If you didn't see it, make sure you catch the highlights. Unbelievable.

I was just about to post about Rutgers game. The ending was so BS.. Rutgers should of had ball back with about 2 seconds left.. The officials really swallowed their whistles in the last 30 seconds (which was a really long 30 seconds).

Well Maryland won't be in the tournament, so I guess I don't really have a rooting interest. I'm still pretty psyched though, I always love the tournament.

Where do you start? The over the back with five seconds left? The foul on the next play when Rutgers threw it in? The travel? Stepping out of bounds with 1.6 seconds left?

 

What's unbelievable is that all the officials just walked off the court. Didn't review to see if any time was left, nothing. Rutgers was furious and rightfully so. I really can't believe that just happened.

Mississippi State won't be in the NCAAT either (barring another miracle SECT title like in '09) but I can't freaking wait for it to start. Championship Week alone is amazing, then we have the NCAAT to look forward to after that.

 

Where is Kilo... he's one of the few people that gets as pumped as I do.

Kilo hasn't posted much after the NFL league. He made an apperance when the Packers won the super bowl though.

 

I'd watch the highlights on ESPN but then I'd have to go through a million other college games and I rather not. I'm sure someone will upload to youtube. If you see it hook me up with a link. Thanks.

The calls (or non-calls) were terrible, but just to correct one thing, the play wasn't reviewable. There was nothing for the officials to do besides leave the court.

St. Johns could easily beat Syracuse and the blame shouldn't alll be on the refs. Doesn't the scorekeeper or whatever he is have to stop the clock?

Kemba Walker hits the buzzer beater to beat Pitt, and he's made more clutch shots than the Heat have all season. Maybe if the Heat draft Kemba they will finally be a clutch team.

It's hilarious because Kemba Walker made the Pitt big guy fall down in slow motion. It's like watching Shaq try to do the "Smooth Criminal" lean.

Syracuse/UConn ... I think we all remember what happened last time they met in the BET.

I think Syracuse will pull out a tight one tonight, they're playing as well as anyone right now and Connecticut is playing their 4th game in 4 nights. Kemba against the best 2-3 zone in the country is not a good matchup. Last time, these 2 teams faced each other (this year) @ Connecticut, Kemba only had 8 points .. and Syracuse was in the midst of their 4 game losing streak.

 

By the way, I feel no shame in admitting that I like the Big East Tournament more than the NCAA Tournament. The Garden on Friday and Saturday tops all.

Oh joy, there was a fight after the UK and ole miss game in the tunnel between liggins and buckner. You can't get suspended for a fight in the tunnel right?

UConn leads Syracuse by 1, Colorado leads Kansas by 1, Duke leads Maryland by 3. I love March.

 

Both SU and UConn are playing terrible offensively. Both teams head into the half shooting below 30%.

 

UConn is so stagnant against this zone. No ball movement, no cutters. If they don't score in transition, they can't score.

 

Syracuse has been atrocious offensively. They are 24.2% from the floor, taking far too many quick threes, tough shots early in the clock, and getting killed on the break. UConn taking advantage of misses and Orange missing often. Another horrific 1st half for the Syracuse backcourt: Triche & Scoop are a combined 2-for-13.

So yea Penn State just beat Wisconsin 36-33, pretty high scoring game. PSU started the game on a 18-2 run.
