Jon Miller and Joe Morgan's 21-year run on ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" is over.

Morgan's contract is expiring and he will not be renewed. Miller's contract is also expiring though he may remain at ESPN working the "Sunday Night Baseball" series and postseason baseball for ESPN Radio.

Miller is ok. Morgan sucks. Glad I don't have to listen to his babbling anymore.

When Morgan started out as a color guy, he was excellent. He had lots of insights and he still knew the players very well. As years past, he lost the connection with the players and stopped doing his homework. He basically would interview a few people before the game to try to get a feel for what was going on, and his lack of preparation was evident. I do like Miller. He's a good listen.

Now we just have to get rid of Buck and Mccarver and I'll be set for life.

I like Buck. Can't stand McCarver though.

Miller, Morgan out at ‘Sunday Night Baseball’

Nov 8, 6:35 pm EST

ShareretweetEmailPrintBRISTOL, Conn. (AP)—Jon Miller and Joe Morgan are out as announcers on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” after 21 seasons.

“Over the last two decades, Joe went from Hall of Fame player to one of his sport’s top analysts and Jon’s Hall of Fame voice and tremendous knowledge of the game have connected with baseball fans everywhere,” ESPN executive vice president Norby Williamson said in a statement Monday. “We owe them our deepest thanks for an outstanding body of work.”

The network did not announce replacements.

Miller, the play-by-play voice, received the Baseball Hall of Fame’s 2010 Ford C. Frick Award. Morgan, the color commentator, was a two-time National League MVP with the Cincinnati Reds. The second baseman was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1990.

Just read this on Yahoo Sports. SWEET!!

Morgan just came across as a know-all blowhard who was on certain player's dicks, such as Heyward. Didn't he say this guy was the next Aaron, during his rookie season? STFU

The day McCarver goes, I'll be breakdancing in the streets.

It's interesting to see that more people hate McCarver than Buck. While I'm far from a McCarver supporter (I hate him too to be honest), I just happen to hate Buck a lot more than McCarver. I'd put Buck in the same hate level category as Michael Kay.

Buck is annoying, but McCarver says stuff that is just plain out dumb, painfully obvious, or both.

McCarver is the Captain amongst Captain Obviouses. In the dictionary, next to obvious, they should just have a few Tim McCarver quotes. Morgan isn't as bad as McCarver or Buck, I actually didn't really get what all the hate for the man was about. He just didn't seem like he was in league with McCarver and Buck.
