This clown Hicks just seems to blunder from one screw up to another. NESV will hang him out to dry. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. If Hicks was a Brit' date=' he would be sectioned under the mental health act for his own protection.[/quote']

LOL! Indeed. So what does that say about Moores and Parry? Oh, that's right. They don't care, they can burn their money to keep warm.

Dude you guys have Kuyt! I'm so f***ing on board! The man runs and looks like a horse! One of my favorite players to watch on the Dutch National team.

Dirk Kuyt runs on Duracel.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Welcome aboard officially, Liverpool fans. Very excited about this deal, and that I finally have a team to cheer for, rather than just siding with Arsenal for no real reason. Very much hope that you can teach me a little bit about the game you love, and we can return the favor with the game we love.

Thank you. Actually Arsenal did play some great football and it's understandable that they, along with the London clubs, were featured so highly of late, (major networks being in the capitol). In essence LFC were the benchmark of the game thoughout the 70's -80's as their workrate and overall skill on the ball was second to none. The owners took their eye off the ball in the 90's, thus allowing other clubs to gain momentum and seize the opprtunity, but they have never managed to eclipse LFC in terms of trophies. Hopefully that's all history now as we enter a new era.

I will try to understand baseball; the Red Sox lads on here are obviously quite knowledgable. However, please don't ask me to explain the off-side rule; it's a nightmare.

We've had a few ups & downs this week and my brain cell is knackered. But I'll be celebrating again tonight.

Cheers.

I think I liked their jerseys. That's what it was, I think. Red with white sleeves... classy look.

I'm pretty good with the rules, I watch the World Cup and the premiere league when they show it on ESPN every once in a while. It's just the players I don't know well, and the league structure I don't have a damn clue of.

Ahh I guess it's the equivalent of our "balk rule" then, rather left up to the imagination of the umpire rather than to any hard and fast rulebook description of what it means to begin to pitch. Someone who really, really knows the game can have some grasp of what is or is not a balk, but for the most part it's really tricky to tell. You see moves that are let go that you think ought to be balks, and the reverse as well.

Hi Red Sox - I'm a Liverpool fan really intrigued by the tie in our two sporting institutions are going to have. I was going to come on here and address the possible negative image Liverpool fans have had portrayed via the media in relation to the media campaigns / mail campaigns / cyber terrorism, but it looks like there have been some good Reds posters on here already, putting us across in a better light.

Liverpool have a great history, a never say die attitude and as a group, we feel reborn after the dark days of Hicks and Gillett.

If you don't know anything about Liverpool FC - you should watch the (highlights at least) 2005 European Cup Final to see what Liverpool Football Club is all about!

Thanks John W Henry, NESV. A new alliance is born and one that will bring success to coast lines seperated by a bit of water! NW England & NE USA. Lets get it on...

Every dirty trick in the book G&H tried, failed after promises, lies and raping our beloved football club.

Liverpool FC and the Boston Red Sox - YNWA.

The traditions of both the Red Sox and Liverpool although different are similar. Whilst they went and waited longer due to the "curse" which we are currently under the spell of, it was broken in recent times.

As far as Im concerned, even before this deal, the Sox and comparisons with ManUre couldnt be further apart.

Possibly amongst the most passionate fans in the U.S have just joined THE most passionate and dedicated fans in England, Liverpool Football Club.

The fact that this is a deal with New England SV and the history that has alone (why its called New England for starters!) should see something way beyond what those two cowboys promised and didnt bring to the club.

Hi. I am actually a Liverpool AND RedSox fan! There are a few of us out there already before the purchase by NESV of LFC and i am sure since the buy out there will be even more. I am very very excited and pleased with todays events! I have visited Boston once to see a game and i plan to go again in April next year. Fenway Park is an awesome stadium and when i first walked into it i just stood there frozen in awe for a good couple of minutes! I can't wait to go back. Anfield is pretty much the same! All i want to say is any sceptical Red Sox fans who don't know much about LFC please investigate our club in whatever way you can. Read about our history and fans and famous old club. When i first became interested in the Red Sox i got hold of various books to read about the histroy of the club.

I know about Ted Williams and his hitting ability and his.406 season & his 500 odd feet home run into the bleachers where there is a red seat to mark the occsasion. Bill Buckner and his fielding error effectively costing the World Series in 1986. Carlton Fisks homerun (i think in '76) waving his arms to encourage it over the Green Monster. More recently the 2003 ALCS when Arron '****ing' Boone hit the home run of Tim Wakefield. Curt Schillings legendary performance in the 2004 ALCS with his bloody sock and sutured ankle ligament silencing 55,000 New Yorkers! And best of all the first WS title for 86 years! I could go on but you get the picture.

I would just like to think that fellow Red Sox fans would take the time to do what i have done but in reverse and i think you will find you get to really like football if you dont already. I just think it would be great for each others fans to cross the pond and watch each others teams. Hope our joining forces works out well for both of us and i hope all Red Sox fans enjoy finding out about and watching LiverpoolFC. Thanks.

Matt.

Yankees tied up with the 2nd most successful English club ever, well done, and they sold a few bits of merchandise on the back of it, however the sox via John henry were a bit more savvy than the Yankees in their pursuit of sporting excellence. The sox have teamed up with the most successfull English club ever. And in doing so will welcome in an energized, passionate band of brothers who are globally renowned to be some of the best fans around.

I'm honoured as a sports fan to now be able to choose Sox as my baseball team of choice, hope you guys do the same for Liverpool.
