Hey Redguard, I just read your post re shirt sponsorship deals for Celtic and Glasgow Rangers and I seem to recall both teams having also shared Carling as a sponsor in the past few seasons, this prompts my question on the subject: Do the the 2 biggest clubs in Scotland share such a deal as neither one has the resources (and public exposure) to promote a unknown company willing to pay a hefty price for their services?
Don't get me wrong I think both clubs are huge in a footballing sense, but with Liverpool being a world renowned outfit (no offense intended to either Glasgow clubs) I think they are able to negotiate more cash from a company such as "Standard Chartered" to be seen by potentially MILLIONS usually twice a week, than Tennent's being seen by half of Scotland and a few hundred thousand other well informed fans across the globe.
Hope that did not sound too obnoxious, I was just offering an opinion!
