OK if he is really in Boston for a physical this could really be it! Hopefully everything goes well and the surgical repair is showing the correct amount of healing!

Sometimes those kind of posts are accurate--sometimes not.

 

This looks like a great deal for the Red Sox. Not losing Kalish or Iglesias. Maybe they had some leverage with AdGon's shoulder.

There is some risk to assume there. He has to get his power back quickly.

Crawford is out IMO. They aren't giving 2 players 100M+. That and the line up would be extremely LH. That's not so good in a division with CC, Lee and Price. Who knows maybe his price will be right? Everyone was shooting for the moon in packages for Agon and were woefully off. Maybe the same be true for what Crawford actually signs for. With Agon in, I have joined the Werth side of the fence for the time being.

For anyone else hasn't busted a nut yet, here's a hitting chart for Adrian Gonzalez per MLB ballpark. You can play with it (giggity) to see what he's done in each ballpark. Look at his HR, XBH, and Fly Out locations, and then compare that to Fenway's dimensions. Not to mention compare it to the potential of moving in the right field fences about 9 feet for the bullpens.

Apparently the Tigers are likely to re-sign Ordonez. Considering that they will be one of the big spenders this offseason, and Werth and Ordonez both serve the same purpose as hard hitting RFs. Does this mean the Sox will have a better shot at Werth?

We're thrilled to have AGon join the club for the next 6-8 years, but many of us are looking to cut Ortiz's throat on a year to year basis. For a guy that is in decline, he's still pretty damn good. In this lineup with shorter fences, he could have another really good year.
