Dude, you need to STFU.

You have to put your time in here to bitch the way you do.

Ive been here a long time and even my bitching is more than annoying sometimes (yeah i know).

I would add him to the ignore list, but the fact that people quote him still makes him show up in the thread.

:lol::lol:

I think we all need to sit back and chill and wait this circus out. Maybe easier for me since I can step out side and smoke a joint with 22% THC ;)

Actually, he's probably got the time in. He's been banned under different screen names a dozen or so times.

It does when the majority of the offensive free agents ALSO got signed today. Besides Crawford and possibly Ordonez (who is going to get swiped by the tigers fast) who do you really see making a difference still available?

They can contend with what they have now. They won't be the 2nd best run scoring team in the league, but they are no worse them league average at the moment. And like I said earlier, probably still better then what SF just won with.

What a s*** team. Rather watch Hockey then this

We know. You would rather watch hockey any way. You were rooting for the Sox to lose before this and you were happy that the deal fell through.

You are not a Red Sox fan.

All I have to say is why is there no statement by either team on the Gonzon MAtter' date='[/quote']

I noticed this as well. I haven't seen anything that says the "trade" is dead. Just the extension talks. I could be wrong though, bit stoned ;)

Well they better do something surprising like the signing of Lackey last season' date=' but better.[/quote']

The only thing that suprised me was letting Victor go. His contract was fair. What can they possibly do? They got Branden Duckworth thats going to be huge we aren't the Yankees here we can't sign Brandon Duckworth and expect other moves.

Because they are still working on it and are on the way to the winter meetings. Their main goal is to get the deal done, not appease a cranky pants fanbase.

Gordon Edges still reporting according to Yawkey Way nothing is dead YEt.

This would require two of Lackey, Beckett, or Dice-k to step up in a big way, and to get healthy, consistent seasons from Lester/Buchholz. I don't anticipate both of the young guys staying healthy all year, based on how the way the pitching staff has been conditioned over the last few years. No way they get past Sabathia/Lee with this offense, no way.

I said this earlier:

They are all sitting at the table trying to figure out how to spin this and make AGON look like the bad guy to us fans and the PR.

Its what they do best.

I hope I am wrong. I hope you all can tell me to stuff it. I want him here just as much as you guys do.

********.

Funny thing is, you were complimenting them on the way they handled the Lackey negotiations in a post before. That compared with the fact that they spend a shitload of money makes basically every idea you've ever posted here a piece of s***.

Go away.

Sign Beltre and Crawford.

But wait, they might not sign Crawford since he's going to demand more money and years than what they were offering to A-Gon and he's by far an inferior player.

120/6 to an elite player in his prime. Oh Henry, please.

Well before the Werth signing I would have agreed 8 years was too much. But with Boras raising the bar for every FA soon to be FA out their with that albatross, the Sox may be a little more willing to deal. I think he wants 8, the Sox want 6, they will settle on 7(This off season or next). I think the Sox where trying to get a "deal" and they where hoping Agon would flinch first in the extension window period. But he didn't and now Theo knows he will have to offer that extra year if he wants to extend him.

Again let's just let this run out. Either that or GoBruins is going to be jerking off to all of us bickering with each other all night long. And why give him the gratification?

Crawford is probably aiming for a Tex size deal after seeing what Werth got :D

All of this is mind boggling. How do the Sox even anticipate signing players in their prime if they aren't willing to extend them beyond 35? This is just a prelude to what is going to happen when Pedroia is a FA.

Gonzalez isn't interested in hitting the market at 36, but it sounds like he's willing to sign with Boston without becoming a FA if they will pay him through those more difficult years. That in and of itself should be worth something.

Werth contract is something the Sox shouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. Probably the same with Crawford.

What should I do? Should I admit I’d made mistakes? Should I remind you I’ve done this before? Should I give you a history lesson? What should I do? Should I tell you how much fun we had? So... this went well. Should I really believe I ruined my legacy? What should I do? What should I do? What should I do?

If he wants 8, give him 8.

Look what Werth just got.

You think a team wont give him 8 next offseason?

Forgot about what they should do, or what hes worth.

You have to pay him, and pay him now or else another team signs him next offseason.

If the Sox werent willing to go 8 this year, they wont next year.....and next year others will be able to bid for his services.

It's actually funny to see how many posts condense when you put GoBruins2011 on ignore. It's like clearing a Spam folder. Or that magnificent feeling when your girlfriend tells you that she's NOT pregnant.

Bashing him has given me solid comic material. I'm not ready to stop pumping that well :D

The lack of noise from the front office is really telling IMO... if this deal was completely dead, as Heyman would lead us to believe, I guarantee we'd have heard something to the effect of saying there were concerns about his shoulder or some s*** like that to downplay their inability to sign him. Not saying they won't do that tomorrow, but I really think there's more to come than what we've heard so far.

The Werth signing should kick Theo in the ass... if that's the kind of money required to get a 31 year old OF, 8 years at $22 million per year ($176 million) should be perfectly acceptable

I have every reason to believe Sox still talking with Gonzalez

If the window is up, how are they still talking with him? Thought I read that they didn't request a extension.
