They should have. Porcello keeps not striking out anyone, but unlike his other starts, he induced groundballs by the boatload. A run of success is unlikely unless he can start striking batters out and keeping the ball on the ground with at least some consistency.

 

Case in point, before tonight's 15-4 GO-AO performance, he had a 61-50 GO-AO ratio, and a pretty awful 5.70 K/9 (and that's actually an improvement over last year).

Well, this one stings because that was literally the worst umpired game I've seen in years. Plus, Hermida, McDonald and Van Every were 1-for-6. And every member of the lineup who wasn't pinch hit for left a guy on base, except for Youkilis.
