I have no problem with challenging Jones with nobody on. I have more of a problem with the HBP to Izturis.

I am persistently baffled by Girardi's lineups. He has Gardner batting in front of Cervelli in the 8 hole. Gardner is much more likely to get on base in front of the top of the order if he were in the 9 hole, but in the 8 hole if he gets on we have f***ing Cervelli hitting.

I have issues with the lineup from time to time, but that is the least of the Yankees' offensive problems right now. They just can't hit.

I hate it when AJ is pitching, but even I have to admit, he has looked progressively better in his starts this month.

 

EDIT: It's very similar to last year, and if the Yankees can make the playoffs, it might bode well for them there.

It's kinda funny. Our offense was touted as being juggernaut and our pen touted as s***. Well, our offense has seen 1-9 slump and our pen has seen everyone hit their peak as the season comes to a close. Interesting shift there
