Robertson is rarely used, and he struggles when he comes into a game. Shocking.

Again, these guys are not going to pitch well without consistent work. The whole year Robertson has really just been used to get one or two outs in a jam, and then has been pulled.

Not surprising. They were benefitting early in the season from unsustainable contributions from guys like Swisher and Granderson. At this point, until Teixeira starts hitting and A-Rod starts showing some power and Jeter starts getting on base a higher clip, they will continue to struggle. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later.

The starting pitching, outside of Vazquez, continues to be good. Unfortunately the offense is going through a cold stretch, and the bullpen has just been awful.

Yeah, well over 100, and the last two batters hit rockets off him. Part of Robertson's ineffectiveness tonight might stem from inconsistent work, but this loss isn't on Joe.
