Obviously' date=' every season is different. But the only pressure that ARod will have will be generated from his 2010 season. He wont be carrying the pressure of 2004, 2005, etc. [b'] I am predicting a monster season from ARod. I am talking MVP caliber season[/b]

Of course you are. I'm sure you're projecting highly optimistic seasons for 90% of the Yankees roster.

Sounds like there already wasn't any pressure on him in the regular season. There goes your argument that he's prime for a monster year because of all the pressure that was on him last year.

The point is, there was constant pressure on him from the fans, the media, etc that he couldnt do anything about in the regular season. IE, it just built up. Are you really arguing that ARod had no extra pressure on him prior to winning the title? He f***ing cried during the acceptance of his award this week. That should tell you how much pressure he was under.

Are you seriously trying to claim that he's struggled to come up with clutch hits in the regular season lately? For your sake, I hope you were being sarcastic. Otherwise, this will be a lot like the time you tried to claim Gaudin would make $5+ million in arbitration and the whole board laughed at you because you were serious.

Honestly, having any conversation with you is impossible. Logic clearly escapes you. Prior to the Yankees winning the 2009 World Series, the entire focus of this yankees section was ARod's choking. Now that he's a hero, it never happened?

And don't forget that Nick Swisher is going to surpass his '09 season

As opposed to all the Yankee fans that gave him s*** for years?

Monster year from Arod?? Like what, 75hrs 175rbi .375 avg with 65 steals?

Something like the #s you had predicted for Randy Johnson when he signed in the Bronx or closer to the 28 wins you predicted from Carl Pavano his 1st year in NYC??

You're worse than the SI cover jinx, keep it up and the yanks will be battling Baltimore for 4th.

jacksonianmarch, you're the biggest simpleton I've ever seen on these forums. You're always calling out others for trolling you or name calling..however you're a MFY fan on a Red Sox Website, that's been spouting off for years.

I'm pretty much sick of your s***, and your constant flaming and all that other crap.

You sir a complete and total tool and I hope you do get banned from here some day. It's such a rare occurance that you contribute anything worthwhile to this website it's maddening.

You're logic is seen through pinstripe sunglasses that only allows you a navy blue view of the world.

I hope ARod gets hit by a comet, Derek Jeter comes down with AIDS, Jorge Pooooosada is found out to not only pee on his own hands but eat his own s*** and that Mariano Rivera breaks his arm in mid pitch.

Die in a fire you flaming *******.

Do you seriously need to insult the other poster every time you disagree with them? You're the one claiming that A-Rod will be better off in 2009 now that he no longer lacks something that yourself say doesn't exist. You yourself said that no one cared what he did in the regular season, and now you're acting like up until now he was under a lot of pressure in the regular season. You can't have it four different ways.

I don't have a hard time believing that A-Rod will have a good year, he's a great player. But I don't think his regular season performance will be effected by winning the World Series. There's a reason he was called Mr. April, he had no problem coming up with clutch hits in the regular season.

So much truth in one statement. He feels the need to insult someone in every discussion he has with them, even going as far as attacking their employment, their nationality, etc. Nothing's off-limits with Jacko. Everything's fair game.

Honestly, there's a reason why his old account was banned, because everyone thought he was a jackass, who couldn't make a post without trying to insult someone.

The last sentence isn't entirely accurate. Many fans got on A-Rod for not only failing in the postseason, but failing in big spots late in regular season games. However, starting in 2007, people were forced to drop the regular season part.

However, on the whole, I agree with your point. Even if A-Rod is more relaxed now than he ever has been, like you said, he never had much trouble performing in the regular season.

Nah' date=' .300 45HR 130RBI and an MVP trophy[/quote']

If he stays healthy, and benefits from the short porch in right field, there is no reason to think he won't put up those numbers. The only other thing that might stop him is lack of protection, if Granderson/Posada have a down year in the fifth spot.

However, there is no need to make the claim that he is primed for that kind of year because some pressure has been alleviated. He's primed to have that type of year, like he is every year, because he's a great player. There's no need to go beyond that point.

You're right, back when A-Rod first came to the team he did have a reputation for not being able to come up with the big hit. Whenever he hit a home run, people would point out how it was in an unimportant spot in the game. But like you said, ever since 2007, not many people doubted his ability to come up with a big regular season hit.

The short porch in right doesn't really help him much. He's only hit 5 home runs to the right of dead center in each of the last two years at the Stadium.

He's still a despicable phony and cheater with bad taste in women. And he has those ridiculously feminine purple lips ... and man boobs.

At least Papi and Manny are not phony, they do not have bad taste in women, they do not have purple lips, and most importantly, do not have a painting of themselves as minotaurs hanging from their bedroom walls. Oh, and they didn't join some f***ing cult to bang Madonna.

That is all.
