Where is the Metrodome?

:blink::blink:

Minnesota.

Overall, i love Fenway but that is cause the Sox play there. As parks go Safeco is really nice and so is Turner Field.

I haven't been to them all obviously, but from what I've heard and seen on TV and in pictures Coors Field and Safeco are 1 and 1a. The new Yankee Stadium is gorgeous of course. Camden Yards is a gem as is AT&T Park in San Fran (I definitely want to see that ballpark in person).

I saw many sox/mariners games at Safeco; a very nice field. The retractable roof is nice as well.

Its is So COLD IN SEATTLE. i was there in mid july and it was like 60. I was in Jeans and a Sox Shirt nearly froze my balls off.

PNC Park in Pittsburgh looks spectacular and it really couldn't go to a worse organization

Ahh I forgot to include that one in my post. PNC is GORGEOUS and has some AMAZING views. 1b behind Coors and Safeco

Geez.

The CHA Robert Taylor homes have been gone for several years. The area surrounding US Cellular Field has undergone a nice change in recent years due to gentrification and redevelopment.

Also, the view of the downtown Chicago skyline from the upper deck along the first base line is awesome.

I know it's biased, but I'm sticking with Fenway. I've been to a few other ball parks (Camden Yards, Citizens Ball Park, etc) but I don't find any that have the "charm" of Fenway. Sure, some of the newer parks might look "nicer", have more "stuff", be more comfortable, etc, but when it comes to watching a game (you know, the reason you are there) nothing beats Fenway. I'll take a cheap hotdog, small seat, and old park when it means a loud, packed, intense, playoff-atmosphere game 81 times a year. As I've said before, you aren't going to Fenway to eat food or lay in a recliner, you're going to watch a baseball game. To me, all the "amenities" are distractions that real fans don't want or need.

Well, if that's what you mean, then it's hard to make an argument against Fenway, or Old Yankee Stadium, or Wrigley.

However, I thought this was just about what the nicest physically was. If not, yeah, I'll say Fenway's tough to beat. Can't say I've been there, though.

Well, I guess my values for sports arenas might be different than most peoples. To me, everything should be built with the field/game being the focal point. No other park puts the focal point on the field as much as Fenway/Wrigley.

Now, if you just want to talk about "state-of-the-art" and luxuries, then Fenway would be near the bottom of the list. When you want to race (cars), you don't pick the most luxurious, you pick the quickest. It's the same for sports. I like the venues with the best atmosphere, not the most luxury.

Depends on what you want. If you want Nostalgia, Wrigley, old YS and Fenway are the ones. If you want luxury, new YS is the way to go. If you want just aesthetically pleasing stadiums then Camden Yards, SafeCo and Pittsburg's new park are hard to beat

There isnt a park in America where you get closer to the grass than you do in Fenway Park.

The walk up the tunnel and into the stadium still gives me chills.

That said the seats were built for 1912 asses and due to 100 yrs of processed foods and an increasing sedentary lifestyle the place is just too small for me when I go with friends.

If we're going for just aesthetics and set up I would say that the pictures I've seen from Coors are pretty awesome. Although, maybe it was just good photography?

Also, Arizonans tend to be very proud of Chase Field. They still call it BoB, we have a hard time letting things go. Hence, the fact that they think the DBacks are a good team.
