I'm with you there, especially when it comes to the World Cup. It's going to be such an awesome match between the two of us. Couldn't be happier about getting Algeria and Slovenia either. I mean, they're good, but it could've been a lot worse draw than we got.

I would take Brazil over probably any team, but it wouldn't shock me to see Cote d'Ivoire win that group and Brazil to finish 2nd. I don't think it's that much of a stretch.

Yeah, Brazil is the favorite to win that group, but he Ivory Coast could absolutely win it. The US exposed Brazil's weaknesses in the Confederations Cup. The Ivory Coast also has the player that is arguably the most potent striker in the world in Drogba, and Brazil's back 4 don't match up very well with him.

 

As usual, the group stage will probably be determined by their results against the other teams rather than each other.

 

And since this is a soccer thread, I'd like to say on a somewhat unrelated note....f*** Garry Cook.

Our only chance to win the whole thing is if it's not held in Europe. I believe that the draw we got against Italy in 2006 was our first point ever on European soil.

I got the Fifa World Cup 2010 game for PS3 last week. It's pretty sweet. Anyone else?
