Better question:

Who gives a rat's ass?

Those whose men's teams are sucking a** right now. This is all that a Uconn fan has right now. Although straight up dominance of biblical proportions isn't a bad fall-back option either.

Can't you just find a different men's sport? lol

College football season is over, Uconn isn't notable for college baseball, and college soccer and lacrosse are below women's basketball. Besides, if Syracuse or Florida had a women's basketball team that was this dominant, are you saying that you wouldn't care at all?

Unlikely - I might watch the Final Four. Syracuse lacrosse is dominant, I don't follow them other than the Final Four. Watching 40 minutes of underhanded lay-ups, horrible passes, falling down on every play, and unattractive ladies actually bump their chests like men just isn't exciting. I love women and I love sports but putting the two together doesn't do it for me - women are not as athletic as men and the quality of play and quality of competition is nothing compared to men's sports, and you have to look no further than the Mens NCAA Tournament vs the Women's.

Uconn women up 55-12 at halftime over #8 seeded Temple. Seriously?

Just wait till they play Tennessee.

I agree completely. I am well aware that women's basketball is a shell of a sport compared to the men's thing. I'd trade all 6 of Uconn's women's titles for another men's title. I'm just saying that watching the school be so dominant and kick the crap out of everyone else outweighs my dislike towards women's basketball. To be honest, I've watched like 5 of the 74 straight wins.

If Tennessee weren't a bunch of complete p****** and canceled the season series vs. Uconn for the past few years, then we'd have faced Tennessee a few times in the streak. I just wish that Tennessee was on the opposite side of the bracket so that they could face Uconn in the finals, but it'll likely be Uconn vs. Tennessee in the Final Four matchup. Winner will probably play Stanford for the championship.

I hope he recovers but WV wasn't getting out of Syracuse anyway. They can't score. I left Buffalo very unimpressed with their offensive ability. They were/are getting rolled by UK in the Regional Final with or without Truck. Now they might simply get eliminated one round earlier. That's the only difference.

Mazzulla isn't a slouch.

WV plays very good defense and still has their 3 main guys (Ebanks, Butler, and Jones). They're decently experienced and still have a very good coach sitting there in Huggins. They put 77 on Morgan State and 68 on Missouri, a pretty good defensive team.

It hurts, but not as much as it looks like it does on the surface. They're going really need to buckle down at the free throw line now though.

A fellow Hawkeye? Steve Alford was never able to get them over the hump when I was there. I think the basketball program has become stagnant.
I'm not an alum, but I inheirited my love for the Hawkeyes from my dad, who is an alum.

The greaseball's best days were his first few years when the guys on the team were mostly Tom Davis' recruits.

I should've known something was wrong the season before the Pierre Pierce incident when Sean Sonderleiter, a senior, quit with two weeks left in the season.

When it was announced that Alford was leaving Iowa to take the New Mexico job, I would've driven to Iowa City to help him pack just to get him away from the program as fast as possible.

Pierre Pierce was universally hated on campus. They gave him so many chances. What a bum.

The two players that stand out to me while I was at Iowa are Jeff Horner and Adam Haluska. Horner was good, but he probably jacked too many threes. Haluska was a gutsy player. Definitely made the most of his talent.

One of my dad's friends had a son who was at Iowa at that time. He once told me that everyone on campus thought Pierce was a drillrod. The columns I read online from the Daily Iowan, Iowa City Press-Citizen and Quad City Times didn't exactly put him in a positive light either.

Butler's looking good right about now.

edit: Not so much, now.

Has turned into a hell of a game. Butler up four after a three pointer that rimmed out, bounced up off the backboard and went in. And now six after a nice tip.

Syracuse's season is on life support.
