I could not disagree more about those pining for Seguin. Hall is the choice. He's not like Kessel who won't go in the corners to battle for the puck.

Next Tuesday is the biggest sporting event in Boston no one is talking about.

As I understand it Seguin does that stuff too and is a little more "complete" than Hall, thus why he plays center. I want the guy who can do the most different useful things for the team when called upon, especially if he does them all at a solid to elite level, and for me that sounds more like Seguin than Hall.

Besides, from all I hear, Seguin's doing it with a worse supporting cast and that sounds more like the Bruins' situation. Maybe I'm overthinking this but if two guys are both real close in talent, IMHO you take the one from the rarer position -- draft for talent rather than need IOW. After all, having too many talented centerman is a great problem to have anyways.

In all honesty I am going to be stoked with womever they pick. Edmonton will pick one of those two and if the Bruins pick 2nd, they will pick the other.

The debate comes if (a) the Bruinss win the lottery or if (B) the (ilers take Fowler. (B) will not happen so pray for the ping pong balls...

They're in a fair position to make some noise in the playoffs. Good goaltending and an offense that's showed signs of life over the last few weeks.

Was having a debate about the best sports trophy with a friend today. Is there any doubt it's the Stanley Cup? Lord Stanley's Cup is the closest thing to sports immortality.

My favorite thing about it is that there is only one trophy - with so much history. There's not a whole set of them in trophy cases all around the country. They don't even call it the NHL Playoffs - it's the "Stanley Cup." Hardest trophy to win, in my opinion. Two months of grueling, mentally and physically demanding playoff hockey. First team to 16 wins get it. Let's get it on!

Sabres/Devils tied with 9 mins left in third period.

If Sabres win in regulation - Bruins/Devils in 1st round.

If Devils win in regulation, overtime, or shootout - Bruins/Sabres in 1st round.

EDIT: Looks like it will be Buffalo. They are two men down with just under a minute left. I expect a lot of low scoring games this series with maybe the two best goaltenders in the league right now.

Playing the Sabres in the first round is the best case scenario for the Bruins IMO. We took the season series from them, and I think with Rask in net we have a chance. The team has been stepping up to end the season, so at least we won't be embarrased. I would have to say though the Sabres win in 6, but it wouldn't surprise me if it went further than that. The B's got a shot in the series, but they have to take advantage of the first two games b/c they play better on the road.

Bruins win the number 2 pick in draft!

From following this thread it would seem that they should get someone that can make an immediate impact.

I have absolutely no knowledge of the available talent. However, I'd take a winger all things being equal.

According to Joe Haggerty, Chiarelli said there's some separation between Hall/Seguin and everyone else in the draft. Sounds like he'll take whoever Edmonton passes on.

Hopefully we get Hall, I think he's a better all around player than Seguin anyone see Hall in the World Juniors.
