I must say, I wouldn't have minded seeing Dice-K stick around for the rest of the seventh. He was still looking pretty strong. But a great outing that could mean we have an actual fourth starter for the playoffs.

The biggest things were the strike rate, which was high and got better as he went along, and the fact that his fastball topped out at 93, where it hasn't been consistently in more than a year and a half.

a leadoff walk in the 7th of a 2-0 game is a good enough reason to remove the guy...he did a fantastic job, not worth pushing their luck

Why? we have 3 possibly 4 dominant options. Our rotation can stack up against anyone in the league.
