For a guy with 2 National Championships and a Heisman' date=' Tim Tebow can be a little p****.[/quote']

As happy as I am that Alabama won, I really dislike the sentiment in this post.

Tebow is an incredible college football ever, and is in the conversation for greatest ever. He's a class act, and, even as an Alabama fan, I love watching him play.

Of course, I agree completely. But that doesn't mean that he isn't a p****.

I don't agree at all. The guy's a gamer and so competitive. I've never understood the hate for Tebow. How can someone not respect him? He's a class act.

I completely agree with this. The guy cried. Big deal. It's far from a knock on him, and, in my opinion, it's just an example of people grasping at straws for reasons to hate the best athletes (that are on teams that they're not a fan of).

Who said anything about not respecting him? Why is everyone misinterpreting what I'm saying? I never said I didn't respect him or that he wasn't one of the greatest players ever. I don't know where you two are finding hidden meanings in what I'm saying, but it's not working.

He's a pussy because he's crying after a loss to get into the National Championship game? Oh' date=' please.[/quote']

This.

Personally, I was just surprised that the sentiment after this game wasn't how great Alabama played, or wasn't that Florida could get it done, but, instead, it's that Tim Tebow is a pussy. Interesting.

For the record, I got to the first two before getting to option three. I just posted at option three.

I also think it'd be because of the fact that this is one of his last games. I know that our entire high school squad was in tears after being bounced in the second round of sections.

I'm just glad that Uconn finally won a close game. All 5 of their losses were by a COMBINED 15 points, to 3 currently ranked teams (1 other was ranked at the time of the game), and 3 of which were on the road to those teams. Thank god we finally won a close one. Not sure how I feel about the Texas game but that was awfully close.

Well I guess all I can say about the Gophers is that, they used to have the all-time record for most National Championships.... Like.... 40 years ago... So, wonder when my College Football team is gonna start winning again... Should I hold my breath on that one?

As a Texas fan Im extremely worried about the NC game, I can't tell myself with any hint of honesty that Texas is a better team, but it's college football so anything can happen, just ask OU about Boise State.

OU wasn't that good of a team that year. Not to take anything away from Boise St, but I wasn't as shocked as a lot of people were.

I really have the gut feeling that Bama is going to roll over Texas. I think Nick Saban could easily be argued for one of the best college coaches of the decade despite his brief stint with the Dolphins. He was nuts at LSU as well.

Hey y228' date=' I had no idea you were a Bama fan. I'm not questioning your fandom, but do you have any ties to the school? I actually have an aunt in Tuscaloosa.[/quote']

I wouldn't say that I'm a diehard fan. For me, the Yankees and the Giants are 1A and 1B, followed by Alabama and the Knicks (both falling somewhere in between casual and diehard). I have family living in Birmingham, and one of my first tee shirts when I was little (from them), was a Bama shirt.

It's the reason I went a bit out of my way to defend them, in terms of the calls earlier in the year lol.

Agreed with this post in it's entirety.

I think the main reason people felt it was such a shocker was because of, well, two things actually: Oklahoma is one of the all time powerhouses in college football. Also, because it was such a close, high-scoring and exciting game. The finish was spectacular.

But yeah, I really wasn't surprised in the least when Boise State won that. Actually, I thought they would pull off the "upset".

Anyone watch the Liberty Bowl yesterday? I ended up going and we somehow got tickets for basically half-price. We sat in the ECU section, which made it even better considering I hate Arkansas anyway. It was SO effing cold. My feet were seriously hurting, and I wore 2 pairs of socks. Fun game though, despite Arkansas winning 20-17 in OT. The ECU kicker missed FOUR field goals, 2 of which would have been game winners. Sigh. I've made a bowl game 3 years running now. It was also pretty fun crashing tailgates and pretending to be part of the party while bumming free food/drinks. That was awesome.

SWEET!

i've only attended one bowl game so far (Sugar Bowl after '06 season LSU vs Notre Dame), but i've been able to party in New Orleans for the Sugar several times now.

atmosphere is usually pretty good, and all them tourist spending money in NOLA is a good thing for the city.

I've never been to New Orleans.

The games I went to were the '07 Liberty (Mississippi State/UCF), '08 Music City (Boston College/Vanderbilt), and '09 Liberty (Arkansas/ECU). All have been brutally cold, but very good games.

it was 72 degrees for the Sugar Bowl. no wind, no rain. :D

New Orleans is an interesting city. no telling what the hell you're gonna see there on any given night.

i usually try to avoid the place. infrastructure is absolutely terrible. sometimes you have to go 3 or 4 blocks out of your way just to get back to where you're going. Traffic is a bitch.

much prefer Baton Rouge. can get 92,000 people (usually closer to 150,000-200,000 on campus) in and out pretty quickly compared to how New Orleans handles the 70,000 that go to Saints games (and nowhere near the extra tailgaters).

I'm gonna make the trip to Starkville one of these years (but Oxford is 1st on the list).

Starkville is the epitome of a college town. It's awesome.

I'm actually going down to Oxford for the game Saturday, State and OM.

You talking about Super Bulldog Weekend? Why yes, yes it is awesome.

We really should get together in Stark-Vegas sometime, especially considering I'll be there full time starting next fall.
