Bradford intends to enter April draft

NORMAN, Okla. -- Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford will have season-ending surgery and expects to enter the NFL draft in April.

The Oklahoma quarterback injured his right, throwing shoulder twice this season, most recently against Texas on Oct. 10.

The school announced Sunday that Dr. James Andrews will perform the operation Wednesday in Birmingham, Ala.

Bradford added that he intends to enter the draft if the recovery goes as anticipated. The rehabilitation time for the surgery is estimated at four to six months.

stupid move on his part. teams will shy away from him because of the injury.

Stupid?

I don't know who this kid is and I really don't care.

But he will draw NO interest from any NFL team if he has an injury that keeps him from throwing a ball.

Better to have the surgery and rehab. Maybe he can sign as an undrafted FA at least.

He'll go in the 1st round, maybe top five. He'll definitely draw interest.

he still has a year of eligibility and he should play his senior year to prove he is still is a durable player.

Oh.

My point is that he should have the surgery.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but I said last year that I thought Bradford should've come out considering he was going to be a top five pick. If I was able to go top five (even coming off the serious injury) I would leave in a heartbeat and take the gauranteed money.

he is having the surgery i was commenting on his decision to go the draft.

Yeah.

As I said, I had no idea who he was. He's an underclassman. Maybe your idea is good.

Got to go for the bucks I guess.

By the way, did anyone see the ridiculous TD call in the Mississippi State/Florida game last night when the Florida player had the ball knocked out before he crossed the goal line? The officials really reamed us. That was laughable.

yeah i guess he wants the green. but would take a guy who is coming of an injury and a quarterback name Colt McCoy could be your number one QB over Bradford.

You wouldn't take the money? I know I would (last year).

Jake Locker may be the best QB in this draft.

i would have taken the money the money he would have gotten last year is far more than what he will get year

wow!

can't believe i waited this long to log back in over here.

College Football is by far my favorite sport.

We're more than halfway through the season, and I've missed a pretty good thread.

Auburn/Ole Miss just started.

I truly hate both of these teams and not sure who I want to win.

I think it benefits LSU for ole Miss to win this one, but I'm gonna cling to hope that a meteor, tornado, and earthquake all hit the Auburn campus at the same time.

Why didn't the coaching staff put in a junior!! No one wants a true freshman in the game then!!!

WORST PLAY CALLING EVER!!

Loss on Joke(er) phillips (OC) for kentucky.

Anthony Dixon: certified badass

AD went for 252 and 2 TDs

What now hoes.

You wouldn't have won if trevard played.

Pretty good game between Marshall and UCF last night. Marshall kept letting UCF back up last night and the UCF coach went for it on 7 different 4th downs and converted all bit one of them.

Usc was exposed and Oregon has now become the team to beat in the west.

Dare I say SC looked slow against their conference buddies, slow to the point of being destroyed?

Oregon usually does this in a bowl game against an overrated Notre Dame team or a plodding Big 10 team in an obscure bowl game but the ducks this year may be poised to make the BCS a little squeemish...I think Iowa is over rated, I think Cincinatti maybe ranked too high as well.

should be interesting when Iowa plays Ohio State with the big 10 title on the line.

The acc has nothing this year except more confusion, FLA State sucks, Miami came out firing but now theyre fizzling, va tech is good but they got humiliated by gtech, gtech looks great 1 week then the next week they suck, BC?? the only decent team they shouldve beat were the Irish,m they f***ed that game up good but have taken care of the weaker sisters in the acc and still may have a pop at a big game if by some miracle they can get into the championship game, the more action that qb gets the better he looks but those 5 turnovers vs the irish really were a pathetic scene.

TOP 5

Fla

Bama Texas

Iowa

TCU/Cinci/Boise.....

I think tcu is the better of the 3 but Boise held Oregon to 8 pts, Usc wasnt capable of stopping these guys at all.Seems like all the compton kids who went to Colorado and Washington are now going to Utah, Oregon and Boise, how Boise can recruit the kids from sunny California behooves me and having been laid over in Salt Lake City for an evening made me contemplate suicide.

I dont do winter sports nor do have I considered the LDS as an alternative to Christianity but that Utah team is fun to watch. Anyway Oregon got beat by Boise, Boise is still undefeated and the Ducks are 7-1, i think if they met again you'd see a different result. Its hard to respect Boise with such a tit schedule but all they do is win and beating Oregon was huge....They may belong here in the top 5 but I see the top 4 beating them somewhat easily, even on the blue field, size matters no matter what your girlfriend tells you and when youre outweighed by 50+ lbs a man on the d line you'll have problems.

Texas has the luxury of a down big 12 year, theyll run the table and play the Fla Bama winner for all the marbles

yeah, sounds good to me, and I have no proof to backup what im about to say so this is just MHO but I think Cinci and Iowa are for real, or atleast pretty damn good, every game Cinci has played they have made some beautiful plays, I mean plays that can't be easily defended, they have been exceptional on both sides of the ball, I would love to see a TCU vs. Boise game I think it would be a very fun game to watch, and for a small conference school TCU does everything big (It's cause their in Texas) Their D plays big and their offens and running game in paticular play huge. God I love college football!

Oregon would beat any team in the nation if they played right now. It's unfortunate they're going to get blocked out of the national title game because everyone knows it will be Florida/Alabama vs Texas, then again you can't let Oregon in without letting Boise State in. So much confusion this year which shows we need a playoff now worse than ever.

I highly doubt Oregon beats Florida, Alabama, or even Texas.

Right now with the way they're playing, I really think they would. Oregon is flat out going OFF. Plus, Florida should've lost at least once, and possibly twice had they not gotten a little extra "help" from SEC officials. They haven't really been THAT great. Alabama has won some close ones too. Texas has been very good, but the Big XII is really weak so it's not like they will be seriously tested until the national title game.
