The Red Sox answered the Yankees' beating on Friday with an even worse beating of the Yankees on Saturday.

Keep this in mind Yankee fans. If we face you in the playoffs, Smoltz and Penny will not be in the ballpark, but our guys will be looking to throw another beating on A.J.

Just like Burnett mowed you down two weeks ago. Or just like you beat him up in April.

How about when Beckett shut us down two weeks ago. Or when we hammered him in April.

Get the point? Lester, AJ, CC and Beckett can suck...or be dominant. The other pitchers are up in the air. I'll take Joba and Pettitte over any two you throw out against us.

Not an unreasonable position. Which of Penny, Wakefield, Daisuke, Tazawa Bowden and Buchholz are you going to stack against Chamberlain and Pettitte?

Buchholz against Chamberlain, maybe, but who takes on Pettitte with daisuke hurt and probably off his form?

We have t he edge at the top of the rotation however much Gom doesn't like it, but the Yankees do have more quality SP's on their roster right now.

I mis-read it, I thought he meant over any two.

Well...we got bitch smacked today.

I want Girardi to be fired if he EVER catches Posada when Burnett pitches. Ever.

yes, Posada's infamous inability to frame pitches lost you that game

Yup, not the ill-located fastballs or hanging curveballs.

Nope, not at all.

I don't really believe it is much of a difference if any. Whatever difference there is is more than offset by the back two. If you go with a three man rotation, the Yankees take that one too in my mind.

I don't think there is a single baseball-saavy person in Boston or New York that doesn't believe that on any given day, CC, AJ, Beckett or Lester can completely shut down the other team. It's really hit or miss in my mind.

Look at the only game caught by a real catcher in this series. His pitcher gave up 1 run.

Would Molina have made a difference in this game? No. How many times did you see AJ and Posada NOT on the same page? That's all they were talking about on FOX. Of course...you were too busy checking pitch f/x to actually hear about it...my bad.

Yankees fans think they should go 162-0.

I just hate Posada behind the plate. More than a700 hates J.D. Drew.

There's a reason for that, champ.

I may be wrong, but i saw Posada trying to steer from the number one a couple times and Burnett shaking him off.

Guess what?

Burnett's pitch selection got really predictable. The CB Gonzales crushed, sitting on it. The 4-seamer Youk crushed, sitting on it. The fastball Papi dissapeared, sitting on it.

The announcers can talk all they want, Burnett kept shaking Posada, and kept getting hammered.

As much as I hate the guy, Jorge Posada is one of the better catchers in the league and I would have loved to have had him in a Red Sox uniform all these years.

Not sure what game you were watching, but all they were talking about was Brett Favre.

If they were to meet in the ALCS, with the Yankees having home field advantage, they would likely set it up (if possible) with Burnett pitching games two and six. I wouldn't feel too bad about that.

If I were you, I wouldn't feel too good about it if he goes against Lester in those games.

Tazawa is Dice-K Jr, he plays with fire all game and somehow gets out of it. if he can cut down on some of the base runners he can be a keeper.
