Melky is struggling and he centers one off Bowden. This kid has a change that is fooling nobody, a fastball that is straight as an arrow, a 2 seamer that he cannot locate and a nice curveball. Probably a function of being in the pen and having to warm up a few times. You might get your chance to see this kid on a semi-regular basis. Penny's start tonight might have been his last Red Sox gasp

Yep, but it is a nice game to take. With Burnett facing Tazawa tomorrow, we have a good chance to win the series before Beckett takes the mound. And with Sabathia going vs Beckett, there is a chance we come out of Boston with a 9.5 game lead.

You know what would be funny...if the Red Sox lost the season series. After today, if the Yankees win 4 out of the remaining five...they tie the Sox in the season series.
