I've never felt the way I do about a sport other than my first love football ("soccer") as I do for Baseball.

One thing that always amazes me about baseball is the field.

There is something breathtaking and majestic about a baseball field. The dimensions when you think about it were just meant to be. Any shorter and you take away the small ball element as everyone reaches base easily and too long and you miss the bang bang plays and no one reaches base.

I've never been to a baseball game, it is a dream of mine and there is no where I would want to go more than Fenway.

I love the small ball aspect of the game, I'm not one for power hitters although Youkilis intrigues me and so I like him because of the way he can intimidate pitchers and really take them to the edge making them earn every pitch.

Even from the T.V you just get the sense of how special baseball fields are and if it is anything like the footy, it probably doesn't even begin to tell the story.

As somebody who has been to more than 400 games at Fenway, I still get goosebumps walking up the ramp adjacent to section 17 before a game. The site of the imposing green monster rising out of the pristine green field always gets me.

I love everything. I've been playing the sport my whole life and I still feel like a little kid every time I step onto the diamond. There's just something about it. Baseball to me is a way to escape everyday problems and stresses and just forget about all the bad crap that's going on.

I'm like that when i walk into Anfield Stadium (Home of Liverpool FC). We're building a new stadium soon and I'll be sad to see it go.

I love the fact that a game lasts so long; when I watch a sport I want to sit down for a couple of hours with a load of Beer and Nachos and just enjoy the experience.

I love how tense the game is when you move past the 9th inning and you know if your pitcher makes a mistake that it's all over for your team.

I think for most people, baseball harkens back to your memories as a kid. Every kid remembers playing catch with their dad and going to ballgames with their dad.

When I was a kid, I played and one of my most vivid memories is how my dad used to make me catch 5 popups in a row, each one going higher and higher into the air and once I did, he would buy me a Snickers bar.

I also still have my collection of mini-baseball helmets which they used to serve sundaes in at the Olympic Stadium. But as I've gotten older and started understand the intricacies of the sport and how every little thing that goes on impacts the game, I've grown to love it.

Everything.

Watching the game, playing it, following my favorite team, checking out stats, baseball discussion.

Not to mention it's the strongest bond between me and my dad.

We're very different people but share the same passion for sports, specially baseball.

I envy the people who say it is a link to their child hood and their dads.

I don't speak to my dad and even when I did he was never interested in anything I did.

Only reason I say this is to remind you how lucky you are in that respect.

Back to Baseball and I of course love the triple play, to me the greatest thing in baseball. I am not alone in that view by the way, Hank Aaron also thought so. :)

stealing home is on par with a triple play IMO but watching a No-No is one of the most magical things to me. like when Lester threw his No hitter, a kid freshly recovering from cancer playing in the most magical park in the game with some of the most electric fans even more energized by the fact they are witnessing a beautiful event, just watch the kids play their heart out in the upcoming little league world series and tell me that baseball is just a "game" to me its more than a game its a one of a kind feeling that baseball creates, the only thing ive ever experienced that is anywhere close to it is going to see my high school play in the state championship for Texas (high school Football is pretty big in West Texas) and it is far behind any of the great moments the sox have had in recent years, game 4 in the ALCS in 2004 is one of my happier moments in life.

I love everything about it, The daily drama, the subtle chess match mixed with explosive and jaw-dropping feats of athleticism and skill, the history, the cool baseball stuff (i.e baseball cards, fitted hats, team jerseys), the experience of going to the ball park or watching a game on TV...It really is the perfect sport! And there's no greater place to take it all in than Fenway...

neither have I but I would rather see 9 innings of suspensful and dramatic baseball, with just a bunch of great plays mixed in....inside the park HR and triples are fun tough...
