  1. If we are that lucky, I will.
  2. Well it isn't an issue now, I was just trying to genuinely thank you.
  3. Your assumption is way off. He just helped me realise what I already pretty much knew. Is advice from a stranger any less meaningful if it is good advice or you can take something from it to make it useful at least?
  4. I like how you reminded me. xx
  5. He'll be back, but then you already know that. Form is temporary, class is permanent.
  6. Why because I rationally came to a decision and agreed with you? Sound, if you like. Let me guess though, you're still not taking the piss right? :dunno:
  7. Fair enough. You were right though. I will never know the joy of being a sox fan at the pinnacle of their greatness and for that reason they shouldn't be my team. I have a great respect for the team and I will always cheer for them against the Yankees but that isn't enough. Your reasoning may have been spurious but I can't deny that overall your conclusion was irrefutable. Thanks for that, you saved me some time and once again, thanks for replying at all. For what it is worth I've decided to follow the Nationals so I can be a part of something from the beginning with them having to my knowledge not won a thing.
  8. The games I can watch I do watch, I think it is important though to understand a team's history, not live it though as that's impossible. I would look fantabulous in a pink hat though. As Alfie said, real men don't fear pink....
  9. Excellent read. Pure comedy. Thanks.
  10. I can't see that being deliberate. I think the tactic was to take him off his stride and that ball just got away. Would it be fair to say that hitting people in the head is becoming more prevelant? Do you think there will be any repurcussions to the rules even if this continues?
  11. How does that stop someone "beating the course" better than him. They are still in direct competition so it is a valid argument.
  12. Presumably so does Phil "The Power" Taylor then? Neither for me. I like my Athlete's to be, well..... athletic.
  13. I fell asleep before the 9th inning I woke up as a happy man though.
  14. Arsenal spanking Everton 5-0. Not sure if Arsenal have been that good or Everton that bad!
  15. He may well end up as the best ever but I still think it is Jack at the moment. It takes more than numbers to make a true great.
  16. http://awsmposters.com.au/catalog/images/liverpool%20anfield%20mini.jpg Greetings and welcome to our home away from home. In the beginning: If it wasn't for one man, Liverpool Football Club would never have been born. When Everton left Anfield in a dispute over rent in 1892, club chairman John Houlding stayed behind along with a handful of supporters and just three first-team players. But he was determined to see football continue at the ground. He formed a new club from scratch, chose the name Liverpool… and created a legend. Even John Houlding couldn't have predicted how successful it would become. More than 100 years on, no English club can match the LiverpoolFC roll of honour; League Champions 18 times, FA Cup winners seven times, League Cup winners seven times, European Cup winners five times and UEFA Cup winners three times. 17. Turn back time and they MIGHT let you in. (Joke before BSN starts throwing the arl pink hats around again)
  18. Fazakerley mate. (That place name could only be in Liverpool) They just showed the Yankee's home stand against the Sox so showing the Tigers game straight after was unlikely to happen. Check out Baseball Tonight, that will teach you a lot about the game. I have given up on MLB.TV HD, I simply can't get it so I just watch in 4 bar normal now. Made up that ESPN decided to keep ESPNA Couldn't imagine life without it now.
  19. C. Control. Is the pitcher throwing the ball in the spots he needs to, usually this means "painting the corners" or tempting the batter with a pitch that is just outside. Anything but the dreaded "over the plate" which you usually see on its way to "Souvenir City" (yes Baseball Tonight is excellent). D. Number of pitches thrown. The best get in and out as quick as possible. Where in Liverpool are you mate? Do you have ESPN?
  20. I do have MLB.TV, can I find full old games on there?
  21. Who named the monster?
