Not being negative at all. It's just another hitter that hits under .250. You can look at second half stats all you want.

Youkilis struggles mightily

LaRoche learns to hit

Wakefield breaks a nail

How about we get some Mark Teixeira's? How about we get some Joe Mauers? You know guys that do their jobs from April-October without us having to look at what they do post all-star breaks.

first of all he is a .275 hitter Career he has never hit .250 or less since he got brought up

second of all we arent going to make a Mark Teixeria type move, LaRoche cost very little has a good upside and a chance to do a great job in the lineup plus we still have plenty of trading chips left to make another trade if we need to, all we need is the offense to start up again i do not believe that Drew, Bay, Ortiz, and Youk all stay cold for the rest of the season. we have a good team without making a big deal no reason to break the baank for a big move.

go turn on your Playstation 3' date=' pop in MLB 09 and turn on "Force Trades" if you wanna play that game[/quote']

Just saying if we actually had Mark T. We wouldn't be figuring out where the next hit with RISP will be coming from.

Playstation 3? Force trades? The game I'm playing is this is Boston. Shop for Mercedes and Jaguars. Not Fords and Toyota's.

I think you guys miss quote me. I am not saying Youkilis will struggle all threw September or Wakefield will get hurt more then this current injury.

What I am saying is if we had a guy who was a 285ish 35 120 rbi guy. Are we aquiring a guy like Adam?? You get what you pay for Yankees spent the money right we spent it on Smoltz Penny that other f*** up in the bullpen Saito. We deserve every bit of this.

But they can hand out 2 year deals to John Smoltz? Lets not be nieve here. We upset Damon Manny Tiexiera Garciaparra. All these players can't be wrong. Our owners must not know how to talk to these athletes or something.

What the f***? Did you pass 3rd grade English?

The Yankees would spent more money if the Red Sox matched their Teixeira offer. Whatever number the Sox offered, the Yankees would have kept going up, to the point that whichever team ended up with them got a good player at a truly grotesque price. That is never the right route to take. What is so hard to understand about this?

i think that the rays have proven that $ does not necisarrily equal success we have been frugal and it has paid off thus far so if we can get good deals to balance a team out why spend big bucks, the Yankees spend alot but that hasnt given them a WS every year so why dont you chill out

btw Penny has been great for what we spent for him and we lost very little in picking up Saito and Smoltz and smoltz has barely had any starts give him a bit of time...

They are tarnishing the image of those players in the media, in the hope of preventing fan backlash against the moves. So if the baseball portion of the trade ends up a failure, they can cite _____'s character issues that were going to screw the team over anyway as a reason why they had to get rid of him.

Public relations. Learn about it.

Ask Damon Nomar Manny and many others who we ran out of here for no good reason.

The Yankees don't do that stuff do they? Thats why they have 26 and we have 7.

Manny ran himself out, and it was time for Nomar to go, get over it none of them are here now and its not because of some ******* in the orginization.

I guess you have nothing to add except kicking and screaming. Go away wahhh you just called the ownership cheap.

Kicking and screaming + cheapskate accusations >>> s***ing I.Q.-draining nuggets of inept lunacy onto an otherwise intelligent forum.

Idiocy aside, I agree with his last sentence.

Mike Lowell's re-signing was an absolute mistake and is going to really hurt over the next 1.5 years.

We've won 2 world series since this current front office took over, and had this attitude with notable departing players. The Yankees have won zero in that timespan.

Good one, corky.

The Yankees made alot of bad signings. Pavano Giambi ect. We make a few and then all of the sudden we get gun shy.

Any of you guys have a actual career? If so you may do stock trades on the active market. Say you buy a ton of a single stock at $8.35 a share. It goes down to $8.00 what does a smart invester do? (Yankees buy more so now they just need to get to 8.35 to profit. protecting the investment) What do morons do? They get gun shy, and just take the loss and when it comes back to 8.35 they sell it making nothing on it. Thats what we have.

Steinbrenner won like 6. He laughs at our 2. Granted I love 2004 and 2007. But Steinbrenner owns John Henry. Not even close.
