For a team that is already rather poor defensively' date=' I don't really think the Yankees would do this. And now there is concern about Nady's health.[/quote']

Yeah well, I posted that before the Nady news.

Yeah, I know. My main point was really the defense. Not that I necessarily agree with it, because I don't find Gardner to be a particularly great defensive player, but I feel like the Yankees want that fast, athletic guy in center field.

Nomo' date=' Lowe, Buchholz, Lester...was he not announcing one of those games?[/quote']

Wasnt the Nomo one his first game as a Red Sox broadcaster?

Burnett has been the savior for NY, again i say he is the jewel of their 3 big signings.

Meanwhile at the Oakland Coliseum the 2X WBC MVP is pitching like old people f*** and our bats have all the spark of a 58 year old stripper with giant c section scars dancing the 11-5 shift at Pudgys Tittie bar...The only saving grace was I didnt stay up till the bitter end after dice k shat himself in the 1 ip he tossed.

yea, youre right. I found this:

As the innings wore on Tuesday night, American League manager Terry Francona was surveying his options, and none was pretty. If the All-Star Game had lasted much longer than 15 innings, J.D. Drew might have had the unique opportunity to make two appearances in the game's box score.

"Another couple of innings, and he would have pitched," Francona said.

Pitched? As in, gone to the mound?

Upton playing short CF burns them with a 1-run lead in the 8th. Jeter doubles on a ball he catches easily if he's playing normal depth, Damon doubles him, and they threaten to take the lead. Just stupid, stupid baseball not playing to the situation (no doubles defense).

I know it's the Yankees and all, but it's almost worth it to see Balfour and Howell s*** all over themselves like they did every year prior to last year.

You really think an announcer has anything to do with a game? Are you serious?

Obviously not.

I know that DO was announcing Nomo, Buch and Lester, but it may have been Sox on Fox for Lowe's.

Lol, Percival. Get used to it Tampa.

EDIT: On second thought, they should be used to it. So, welcome back to the norm.

good win for NY. Another well pitched game from the bombers. CC in game 1 and the crap that has been Wang for 2 starts are all that separate us from a near flawless start from the rotation.

Yeah, pretty flawless, except for all those annoying flaws.

so 3 terrible starts in 9 games is a "near flawless start"?

WTF is Girardi doing? Sabathia is at 120 pitches and he has had nothing all game long. Granted, his nothing is better than most pitcher's everything. But right now, I'd take Edwar over a tiring, struggling CC.

The house that Posada built.

Seems fitting that one of the true Yankees hit the first HR in Yankee Stadium. Congrats for Posada.
