I'm still not sold on Alabama. I think Florida wins the SEC, and I think they'll beat Alabama pretty handily.

This Texas Tech and Oklahoma State game is gonna be fun. 7-7 already.

Really? I can't see ANYONE beating Alabama handily. They're so well balanced. I definitely think Florida could beat them, but if they do I think it will be close.

 

These next few weeks will be great. Oklahoma still has Texas Tech and Oklahoma State left too. Seeing who will represent the Big XII South in their conference championship game is a total tossup. It could go to any of 4 teams.

I think Florida would beat them by 10 or so. They just don't strike me as being that good of a football team. Not the best team, anyway.

 

I think any of the top 4 in the Big XII would beat them.

 

This isn't that good of an LSU team... you saw what Florida did to them. 'Bama barely beat them with LSU's QB trying to give the game away.

Regardless of how the rest of Texas Tech's season plays out, Tennessee is most likely going to throw a ton of cash at Mike Leach. I'd rather not have him in the SEC so it would be nice if he stayed, although I'm sure TT has some money to throw around as well.

Since Harrell and Crabtree will probably go pro, I'd leave with 'em, if I was Leach.

Harrell's a senior so he's gone regardless, and you'd think Crabtree would be going pro. Obviously Leach has no problems getting players for his system though so I think they will still be a really good team. If you think about it, they have had so many good QBs over the years, just plugging in a new one almost every season. (Cliff Kingsbury, BJ Symons, Harrell, etc) The thing is, it's almost not appealing to coach in the SEC. Fan bases like Tennessee have such outrageous expectations every year, and God forbid if you lose 1 or 2 in a row to your big rival. There's such a short leash. If I was Leach and was happy living there, I'd stay.

Could Texas Tech possibly jump Alabama after this? They should. Then again, I've made my thoughts on Alabama known.

Hahahahaha. West Virginia was down 20-9 with less than a minute to play. They score a TD with 18 seconds left and get the 2 point conversion to make it 20-17. Then they get the onside kick, and kick a 52 yard FG to tie it 20-20 as time expires to send it to OT. There are now MASSES of people flocking back into the stadium for OT. That place was halfway cleared out.

 

Edit: And Cincinnati ends up winning 26-23 in OT.

I doubt TTU goes to #1, but it doesn't really matter to their Nat'l Championship hopes. If they win their next two games, they're in; if they lose one of them, they're out.

Some other upsets brewing, BC is up 17-10 over Florida State, and #23 Tulsa is getting whooped by Houston. Alabama is going to remain #1 though.

Not too interesting of a week this week, but next week is awesome. IMO, if Oklahoma can win the next two games (#2 Texas Tech and #12 Oklahoma State), they're in the BCS Championship Game.
