2008 College Football Season Thread

Anybody else as stoked about the upcoming season as I am? Several games will officially kick it off tonight.

 

Vanderbilt @ Miami Ohio (6:30 ESPNU)

NC State @ South Carolina (7:00 ESPN)

Oregon State @ Stanford (8:00 ESPN2)

 

Looking forward to finally watching some college football tonight. Should be 3 good games.

South Carolina ended up destroying NC State 34-0.

 

Good game on ESPN2 right now. Stanford leading Oregon State 22-20 late in the 3rd Q.

I thought the QB from Rice looked pretty good last night.

 

I think Glennon at VT is one of the worst QBs I've seen get a starting gig in Div I football.

 

Florida has like 7 guys who can house it if they get in the open field.

Agreed ORS, Glennon is awful. I would have just given the job to Tyrod Taylor this year, instead of red-shirting him.

fullmer will keep any decent team close due to his pathetic coaching and lack of courage.

a great weekend of college football but 1 that exposes the acc and the big east as frauds and a weekend that showed the world that the sec is still the best in the business.

Bc opens this weekend at home against gtech,12 noon at chestnut hill.

i like bc to surprise a lot of people this fall and win maybe 9 games.

Clausen looks really good. As does the ND defense. The problem is, our running game has been mediocre and the receivers have been poor. Clausen's INT hit the receiver between the numbers

yep. Coming from NJ/CT, there really wasnt a team to root for. So my dad has been rooting for ND for a long time and raised me as one
