Scouting Report:

Red Sox: There was little secret about what the Sox were acquiring when they traded for Byrd on Aug. 12. The 37-year-old veteran wasn't going to throw shutouts, just keep the team in a position to win. He did just that in his first start with the Sox, a 4-1 loss, thanks to Roy Halladay and the Blue Jays. Byrd will look to get a little payback in Toronto in his second start, which, coincidently, will be the third consecutive outing that he's faced the Jays.

Blue Jays: Facing Boston in his last start, Marcum collected the win as the Jays completed a two-game sweep of the Red Sox at Fenway Park. The Toronto right-hander allowed one run on five hits over five innings. He walked four and struck out four, while exhausting 95 pitches. Over his past three starts, he is 3-0 with a 2.00 ERA across 18 innings. He is 4-1 with a 2.84 ERA in his career against Boston.

Did you all know that Paul Byrd was a child star before becoming a ball payer? It's true!

Here's hopin' tonight's game is "Child's Play" for the Sox...

I was in Baltimore for that Wednesday night debacle...I could use a win tonight. Though I truly understand why they sell shirts down there that say "Camden Yards: Fenway Park South" on 'em. About 60% Sox fans there that night.

Dude, eat a dick Rios. You've been a do nothing schmuck on my fantasy team all year. What's another few games, cockmuncher?

Since drew is out I would but I know it wont happen

Yeah, because Coco Crisp's ability to make Josh Beckett smile is worth far more than adding a .500 OBP 6-10 HR player for the month of September.

Hey everyone. I'm new here. I've been following your ******** for 2 years and decided to officially join. I'm representing the Sox out West and am a 4th generation Sox fan...my family is from Brockton. My dad and I bang our heads against the wall nightly with the ups and downs so I figure I'd vent with you folks.

Cheers!
