Yeah man, I'm just as sad. Hopefully all this talk will amount to nothing and Manny will pinch hit and get the game winning hit the next day...then the Red Sox will take home another title and Manny will be the MVP. :dunno::thumbsup:

Manny was petting Tavarez for the whole half inning in the dugout. Don and Jerry couldn't stop laughing.

Thanks for the memories Manny. I know it didn't end well but for the majority of his career here in Boston, he was one of my favorite players and his crazy attitude was fun to watch. (most of the time). Despite this ugly stretch the last week or two, his excellent run here won't be forgotten anytime soon by me. Thank you Manny. Good luck in LA.

Good post. I agree wholeheartedly. I'll never forget what Manny did for this team.

I've made my thoughts on the trade known, but I think we should all take the time to reflect on the good, and great, things Manny did in a Red Sox uniform.

Amen. I loved how Manny exemplified the Red Sox casual idiotness opposed to the starch seriousness of the Yankees. Even though I'm a windows guys, I like this comparison: the Red Sox are Apple, the Yankees are Microsoft. In this analog, Manny was Steve Jobs.

It's unfortunate that his whole screw everyone I'm Manny Ramirez attitude had to come to this, but it won't change the fact that for 7 and a half seasons I loved to watch pitchers crap themselves when he stepped up the the plate.

I wish him luck in LA, but not enough that those *******s over at Dodger Blues can feel good about themselves.

I skipped work as usual to see opening day the year we got Manny and I was really excited to see him. He was already a huge superstar and he hit a Homer on the first pitch he saw if I remember correctly. I knew then that a new era had dawned for the Red Sox.

So the Yankees are nerdy John Hodgmans and the Red Sox are cool, laid back Justin Long? Thats how I think of the rivalry too.

There's no doubt Manny did a lot more good for the organization than bad and I'm happy that he'll be able to get a fresh start somewhere else. I'm just glad we never got the opportunity to see what else he might've done to further tarnish his reputation in the next two months plus

Why the hate? He's a two month rental. Frank has too much $$$ tied up in worthless signings now to take him on after the season. It was all about getting the draft picks. Personally I wanted to keep Andy and give him a legit shot at 3B. Ned blew that when when he picked up Blake.
