This is 2008' date=' why dwell on the past? [/quote']

Maybe you have a point. :dunno:

By the way, I've been meaning to ask you--what does "26 to 6" mean in your screen name?

I offeredto have it changed. Your fellow Sox fans voted that I keep it as is. Take it up with them.

Why did you create the username in the first place?

why not? the same reason you guys all run your mouths about the Yankees and how much they suck a month into the season

Still doesn't get it. Hilarious.

Jesus Christ dude, you're so f***ing pompous and full of yourself, get off your high-horse, if it amuses you that much then go laugh into a pillow up on your throne in some room by yourself. I like to think of my username as a title-ticker. You guys get pleasure out of seeing it remain 26-6, whether it's because you're stuck in the past, you like laughing at it, whatever...but this conversation has occurred enough times for me to decide to change it.

Igawa is giving up rockets, but has had the good fortune for two of them to be hit right at people (one literally as it hit him and he fielded the riccochet).

the tigers starters are combined for 5.52 ERA' date=' they should of went for some pitching insted of Miguel Cabrera[/quote']

Dontrelle Willis and his quirky clubhouse antics were supposed to bring the ERA of the whole staff down by at least two runs a game.

I just gained some respect for Jim Leyland.

"All that [stuff] has been media [stuff] for years -- great chemistry, great clubhouse. That's the biggest bunch of [baloney] in the history of sports. Every time somebody wants to talk about great chemistry, [forget] the chemistry in the clubhouse. I'm interested in winning games, period. I don't know who came up with it, but the worst word ever used now is chemistry. That's something you take in school. That's a class you take. If he gets people out, he'll be fun in the clubhouse. If we win games, I'll be fun in the clubhouse. If we don't, I won't be fun in the clubhouse, either. He's a wonderful, wonderful person with a great personality. We've got a bunch of them."

This Tigers announcer can't get his tongue off of Jeter's sack.

"All these people say that Jeter has lost a step, watch him make that play, he's one of the top 5 SS in the game." (Jeter makes error)

I didn't know 26 to 6 was calling Tigers games.

Sort of weird - we were rooting against the tigers yesterday and rooting for them today.

Igawa getting back to last year's form by 3rd innings.

RSR - regarding your comment about me and the offense in last night's thread - I am responding here because you did not put any swear words in your post.

I am still somewhat concerned with the offense (insert your favourite bashing line here).

Here are the things I am hoping will happen to make me happy:

1. Youk does not fall off after May and keeps hitting for surprising power.

2. Lowell shows that he can still play after a contract year ( unlike you know people like Posada).

3. Papi shows no ill effect from surgery.

4. Drew the enigma in our line-up plays well and stays on the field.

5. Lugo/Coco keeps getting a hit once in a while.

Was that too much to ask for?

1. Youk unlike the last few years I dont think he'll fall off to much

2.Lowell wont have a year like last year but he'l still have a decent one

3.Papi is on a 9 game hitting streaks , he looks great now

4.Drew will have a better year than last year

5. Lugo and coco have actually been hitting better than I expected so far

Bring back Ian Kennedy. f***. LOL!

Gom, he's not ready for prime time.

Trade Kennedy to the Royals and he'll get by, but I really think that he's struggling in Gotham.

As an aside, I don't enjoy what's happening to the Yankees any more than you do. The lead isn't huge, but I cannot remember the Yankees being so shaken this century, even in 2005. I prefer a clash of two titans, not a Yankees team hanging on by smoke, mirrors and Joe Girardi's underappreciated management.
