http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/logos/38x45/nyy_38x45.gif #35 Mike Mussina, RHP (1-2, 4.15)

Scouting Report:

Red Sox: The ace proved in his last start that he is truly back from his back woes. In a 4-3 victory over the Yankees at Fenway Park on Saturday, Beckett gave up five hits and three runs over 6 2/3 innings, walking one and striking out five. In his career at Yankee Stadium, Beckett is 2-2 with a 6.86 ERA. However, those numbers don't include the gem that he pitched against New York in Game 6 of the 2003 World Series, when Beckett was a member of the Marlins. In his first two starts, Beckett has limited opponents to a .200 average.

Yankees: Mussina got his choice between Manny Ramirez and Kevin Youkilis in the sixth inning on Saturday at Fenway Park and couldn't make his selection pay off. Mussina allowed a two-run double up the gap to Ramirez that helped the Red Sox post a 4-3 victory over the Yankees. Mussina has gone five innings or more in all three of his starts this year and in seven starts dating back to Sept. 12. Over that stretch he is 4-2 with a 3.64 ERA, allowing 17 earned runs in 42 innings.

I have to say that Arod's homer was one of the hardest hit balls I've ever seen.

Remember...you could have had Santana for that scrub you had pitching yesterday. You guys should be pissed at Theo, just like I am with Cashman.

Beckett....ugh. Not feeling like going to the game tonight.

As I said last night in the thread

though it's certainly messing my head

Its only limericks for me

till a home run, you see

Hit by a player in Red

I THINK YOU SHOULD FOLLOW SUIT WITH THE CAPS MOJO AND GO LIMERICKING IN CAPS.

LIMERICKING IN NOTHING BUT CAPS

I SUPPOSE THERE IS SOMETHING TO THAT

PERHAPS THE COMBINED MIGHT

OF OUR JINXING TONIGHT

WILL BE ENOUGH TO WARM UP THE BATS

I think limericks are for bats, but haikus are for the arms. Our bats had no problem last night...let's see how good your syllables are.

Manny with dreads looks quite rasta

His energy from whole-wheat pasta [Really? -Ed.]

He changed the momentum

On what Moose just sent 'im

I've not seen a ball leave town fasta

Manny's game is looking quite dapper

He's making the Toilet shut its yapper

His swing's lookin' loose

Oh, and about the Moose

He looks to be ready for the crapper
