You guys definitely deserve it. You had the best team, the best organization, and truly deserve it. You've suffered a lot of the years, and now you can say that you're on top of the hill, and likely to stay there for a while.

As much as I hate your team, you guys here at TalkSox are a good group, and deserve it. I tip my cap to you, your team, and you city. Enjoy it. You most definitely deserve it.

Congratulations to all of you.

Sincerely,

Congrats Red Sox! Great season and sweet way to close out my 1st season on TalkSox.com

I think it's the website. It went up in 2004 and just like the 2007 Red Sox, some of the members from the 2004 squad (not most of them) are still here today ... lol ...

Thanks, Gom.

I look forward to more ball busting as FA season heats up and lead us into pitchers and catchers reporting.

Congrats Sox and the RSN - you set the standard early in the season and finished the way you started. The team and fans truly deserve this championship.

The only thing that sucks about the Red Sox winning 2 championships in 4 years is that now all of a sudden we've got what seems like twice as many fans. I know some people who were born Yankee fans can understand this and it's frustrating.

I'm not saying this about anyone here because frankly I don't spend that much time here anymore so I don't know anyone-- but I had to vent that somewhere.

Congratulations to anyone who called themselves a Red Sox fan BEFORE they started winning.

That having been said, the Rockies looked completely and totally overmatched in this series. I heard on the telecast that they had lead in only 3 INNINGS in 4 games. That's pretty amazing. I think they've got a nice core of offensive players but the pitching didn't keep them in games.

Should be a fun offseason and looking forward to next year. Let the hot stove season..... begin!

Congrats sox fans.

And congrats Jon Lester. I am kinda frustrated with the fact that the sox won the WS, but I am genuinely happy for this kid. From cancer to WS clinching victory.

Like I said in the game thread, they oughta make a movie about the year Jon Lester had

elsr. The numbers will fade VERY quickly. Trust me. We are going through it right now.

Thanks GOM

The good news for the Yankee fans is the last season is forgotten once the spring training begins. Let the next year be another big year for this rivalary. I hope you guys stay with us in this forum next year along with the sox fans.

Neither one of us would have it any other way. It will be weird being the clear underdog, a new position for us Yankee fans, but hopefully one we can embrace and enjoy.
