It's the Big Schill vs. The Fogg------- Schilling (6-2) vs. Josh Fogg (1-5)

The look of a winner....

the look of a guy totally in a Fog(g)...

Schilling comes in off a sparkling start last time out...he's money, baby.

Fogg, meanwhile, drifts into town sporting a 1-5 record, 5.06 ERA, and a K/BB ratio of 37/23...having given up 72 hits in 58 games (that's 11 hits per 9).

Let's clear the skies early, boys, and drive the Fogg outta town.

Tito was on WEEI earlier today and said that he will sit Pedroia tonight because Cora has good numbers against Fogg. So Coco should lead off, and something like:

Coco

Youk

Papi

Manram

Drew

Deuce

Tek

Cora

Lugo

You bench a 300 hitter who might make the All Star Team for a guy who has not hit well in a few weeks? I hope it works. What will not work is putting Crisp back at the leadoff spot. Francona just cannot help pushing the envelope, can he? Hasn't he learned by now that Crisp cannot hit very well for us at all and cannot hit at all or get on base at the leadoff spot. That's probably an 0 for 4 right there. It was this kind of stubborness that got his ass fired in Philadelphia. Hopefully, the rest of the gang with go wild and Schill will give us the pitching he is capable of and we'll smile tonight even as Terry tries to help gum up the works.

From the looks of things I'd say so far, so good.

Hopefully Schilling can make it 3-4 good outtings in a row tonight, and continue the Sox good play on the interleauge schedule. Let's also hope the Sox bats can bust out tonight against a bad pitcher. If I had to guess I would say the Sox win today 7-3.

Woah, calm down! Francona is not benching Pedroia, he is just getting the night off. I agree that Crisp should never leadoff however.

Prediction:

Schill will get hit a little more than his last start. But that will be because he is laying them in with a lead. Sox jump on Fogg early, 5 in the first. Schill goes 7, giving up 3ER with 5K and 8H and Okajima/Donnelly close the door on the non-save opp as the sox take the game 8-4. Josh Fogg should not have a Major League job. He is slightly better than Tim f***ing Redding.

I get why Cora is in the lineup, it isn't a knock on Pedroia but Cora is batting an ungodly .556 against Fogg. my only issue is, why isn't Cora leading off instead of Coco?

its Tito's master plan to lull them into thinking innings are over by starting with out #1. Brilliant I say! Coco for captain?

People call Tito patient, I agree with Seabeachfred that Tito is just stubborn. Lucchino should tell him if he keeps putting sub-.300 OBP guys in the leadoff spot he'll get fired. I think it's time WMP gets more at-bats. As I have said before, a HR every 20AB is better than nothing ever from Coco.

Lets win.
