That's Vin Scully... one of the best in the business.

You are the stupid kid in class that eats glue and then washes it down with the sea monkeys?

I respect him but theres something about him that makes it hard for me to listen to him, thats the first thing that popped into my head while listening. To each his own i suppose.

East Coasters don't frequently listen to him, which is probably why they don't appreciate him. I myself couldn't listen to the late Jack Buck, but I do respect Ernie Harwell.

 He had no idea what to do. That bat flick makes it look like he scared himself.

Kuo was a decent hitter in the minors, although I think last night was his first HR in his career.

At least he's more entertaining than Bobby Murcer ever was.

Did I compare the two? No. Scully makes me fall asleep. Sterling makes me choke with anger, I hate Kay and Waldman makes me want to vomit. The sox crew are alright, except Orsillo is dumb as a rock. Murcer is informative and your post is solely meant to be inflammatory seeing as he has cancer. Must make you feel proud. BTW, are you the guy who had the avatar with murcer and the tumor cropped in? Why are you here anyway? Dodgers suck. Always have, always will. And if they somehow make it to the playoffs, they will be bounced immediately again, just like the other NL West losers since 02.

Vin Scully is boring.

Ummm. I know you're wet behind the ears and you're used to ballwashing announcers who circle jerk your team on a regular basis. Oh.. there's AROD in his metrosexual stance! Scully is the best announcer in the game. Period. In this time.

If he bores you...you don't get it.

You accuse him of being inflammatory and then proceed to say "Dodgers suck. Always have, always will"?

With apologies to Scully's mentor in Brooklyn, Vin Scully is dull only to dull minds.

They've won 5 WS in Los Angeles and 1 in Brooklyn, which is second in the National League only to the Cardinals. They haven't had a 100-loss season in almost 100 years. That's not "always (sucking)." Granted, they haven't had much success in the last 20 years, but to say they've always sucked is just plain stupid.

I love the Red Sox crew, Orsillo 'n' Remdawg have pretty good chemistry and can be hilarious together. the Houston Astors crew is pretty good too, in the one time I heard them.

christ i hate vin scully

the call of gibsons homer in 88 sounded like the funeral director calling out the families to get into the car cause its time for church

i have him on now

is he on lithium?

he should be locked in a room with tommy heinson and the ghost of johnny most with a drunk harry cary in a black robe holding court..

anyone else miss johnny most??

anyways

it is a classic example of the different passions for the game in the east and west

In all honest, I used to have no problem with the Dodgers. I liked them because they were essentially the Red Sox, with all of our former players. But after this ********, I'm feeling legitimate hatred towards the team and its fans. So much so that I may actually start ROOTING for Barry Bonds. I'm going to the game against SF on Friday, we'll see what I do.

I don't care that the fans on Dodger Blues make it a point to berate seabeachfred over there, if they want to f*** around fine. But when they try to harass people HERE, that's what bothers me. And they don't seem to get it. Not every message board aims to be the free for all melee that that place is. If thats what the want it to be, fine. I'm glad that they enjoy it. Some of the s*** they post is funny, too. But can't you guys just keep it over there rather than forcing your style on other, unrelated forums?

A few unruly followers of a team on an Internet message board is enough to make you hate said team?

To each his own, I guess.

ya

that ""i bleed dodger blue"" ******** is nonsense

all the f***ing mets fans who got on the 86 bandwagon were life long dodger fans in the late 70s early 80s

in 88 it was hillarious watching them morph from blue and orange to ""i love orel"" in a matter of a 7 game series

the f***ing mets beat la something like 11/12 during the season and won the east by 15-18 games and had 100 wins

but orel heshiser went insane in the last 8 weeks of the season and the dodgers who were huge underdogs beat the mets in 7 with hershiser throwing 9 shut out innings in game 7

of course my hatred of the mets was so much more real than the dodgers i rooted for la as if they were playing the yankees

the world series was another huge upset

the a's had it all from speed to power to starting pitching and a lites out bullpen

they dismantled us piece by piece, inning by inning and this is when raja clemens officially began his courtship with david stewart

that a's team was so very impressive from rickey henderson to carney lansford to our dave henderson as well as mcguire and canseco

la had an exhausted staff and a banged up hoss in gibson,no real big time names or guys with staggering #s

i never felt more solid in selecting the a's even with orel going 58? scoreless

that same day was the 1st notre dame miami battle in southbend as #s1-2 and the irish beat the canes....

we got loaded and i got real ambitious laying in a ton of $$$ on the a's

la went up 3-0 and if im not mistaken canseco hit a granny to give the a's a 4-3 lead and the ball to the untouchable eck.....

gibby changed all that and i still get s*** pains and have to look twice every time i hear scullys voice when i am not prepared for it
