I remember watching YES when I was on vacation and I hated it... and this year I hear this from the YES announcer' date=' "An AAAA-Bomb for AAA-Rod, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"... they're annoying, I'm glad I got NESN...[/quote']

That would be Michael Kay the worst announcer in the country. He blows A-Rod in between innings. I have to watch YES since I'm in NY and watch it on mute and listen to the radio even though they are not much better. I'm pretty sure yankee fans cant even stand him. Sterling does that too your right but I have heard Kay do it as well and but I can stand Sterling more then Kay.

Lowell just got hit in the foot with the ball on his way stealing second, now wouldn't you think if the runner is hit with the ball he would be out or is the play a "dead ball" without the batter hitting it or fielder having it?

Depends. Hes out if its a batted ball, but hes automatically safe if he gets hit with the ball by the catcher trying to throw him out.

are you serious then? Cmon' date=' do you know anything about baseball?[/quote']

simple question, simple answer, yes I know baseball, I was just asking because if the batter hits the ball and it hits the runner, he's out... I was just thinking about it and asked anyway...

Ya, if batted, its an out. If hit by a throw from a fielder, nothing happens. For instance, if Lowell was hit with a thrown pitch while in the middle of the base paths, the defense could sill recover the ball and tag him out if he isn't on base yet. Obviously though, Lowell was on 2nd before they could pick up the ball.

Or something along those lines. I know a batted ball' date=' you're out. Im not 100% on every rule in baseball. :dunno:[/quote']

A thrown ball is a thrown ball is a thrown ball. A thrown ball that hits a runner is a live ball, period. The ONLY time that is not the case is if the runner is outside of the baseline or INTENTIONALLY gets hit with the ball. In both of those cases, he will be declared out.

what a game Coco is having

hitting great, fielding great, maybe we should keep this guy haha...

Now there is something WMP couldn't ever do. Spectacular play Coco. (Nah guys' date=' Coco can't make spectacular plays...)[/quote']

Good f***ing god. We acknowledged that Coco Crisp makes good plays, it's too bad that we have to look at fielding in a macro point of view. The overall consensus is that Coco plays a bad CF, kind of like Juan Pierre.

agree. Kinda like Bernie in his prime. His speed made up for his bad jumps. But those jumps cost him at times.

I just got back from baseball practice and Yahoo! says

"M. Lowell singled to shortstop, D. Ortiz and K. Youkilis scored"

How does that happen? Was it fielded poorly or something? Or has Youk unlocked his super speed?
