Somebody has to tell Igawa to stick with the fastball - changeup combination at least 85% of the time.

EDIT: The fastball has really been the bright spot for Igawa today. That's the pitch he has the most control over.

Joe Torre needs to be committed. Down 4-0 with no offense' date=' he brings in a dead tired Scott Proctor to get lit up. Man, this manager is something else.[/quote']

I cant think of one Yankees box score this year or last I have looked at, that hasnt included Scott Proctor's name.

He's a turn key manager. He's great if everything fits together neatly... good offense, strong starting pitching, good 8th inning pitchers and Mo. If he has to vary from this formula, he's as lost as an Alzheimer's victim in the final stages of dementia.

I hate to repeat myself, but the way to start turning this around is to trade away Matsui and Cano. Matsui, in my opinion, is either past his prime or still recovering from the wrist injury. Either way, his trade value for the last year and a half of his contract would be better then having him for the year and a half. On top of everything, he is an awful outfielder.

Cano also really bothers me. He was getting away with his free swinging ways, the first two years, but now pitchers have adjusted to him, and he has failed to readjust. His OBP really hurts this team, and he has not developed the power that I thought he would.

EDIT: Jackson, I really don't think the pitching is the problem. The offense is really struggling, no matter how many total runs they've scored this year. The ineffectiveness of many of the Yankees hitters, is not due at all to Joe Torre.

Cano in particular is a very valuable property.

This performance by the Yankees makes last season's sox collapse seem like a 2 day losing streak. 3 games under .500 with a 200+ payroll is completely unacceptable. (for yankee fans)

The Yankees really cannot sink lower than this.

Oh, I wouldn't say that lol. All they need is for A-Rod to hit in July like he hit in May and all of a sudden it could get a lot worse.
