Yankees down 2-0 after 1 inning. It could have been worse but Melky threw behind Harris rounding second base with only one out.

Moose has these innings all the time. The worry these days, though, is if he strings a few of these innings together.

they look like melons right now. He's a guy I like having in the rotation right now, but with a bunch of guys pounding on the door for next yr and with an inevitable steady decline for Moose, I am not loving the idea of him being here next yyr.

Guys, give Mike a break. He's had to wait a whole 11 days since he last pitched, so he's not on his normal routine. Then add it that it's 1.45 degrees warmer than he likes, and the humidity is 2% low for his taste. Oh, and the hotel restaurant ran out of his favorite syrup. He's got a lot going on upstairs dealing with all these issues, so he's not going to be a sharp as you might hope.

Wiggington, he of the 27 chromosomes and hippo like speed, gets caught trying to stretch a standard single into a double. They are finding ways to give this game away.

2 guys thrown out. Moose has looked awful today, but is one out away from a quality start.

Wiggington is amazingly inbred looking. People in WVA think he looks f***ed up.

Torre must be going through fits right now with two binkies in Proctor and Villone. That's probably a two inning decision.

Villone has been very good recently. But I am just waiting for the meltdown. And what I dont get is that we have this kid Edwar who had an awesome outing, and a poor outing. Why not give him a chance over a guy who we know is going to meltdown soon.

Carlos Pena crushes one off Villone for a 2 run HR and a 5-4 lead.

Upton just butchered a single into a double to leadoff the Yankees 8th inning. Geesh!

The Ray's annoucers seem to think he isn't 100% healthy. I agree. He has really good speed, but not today. He got thrown out at home by Matsui and let that ball get into the gap. He does those two things in his sleep if he's 100%.

Why isn't he playing 2B?

I would imagine so they can get Wigginton into the game. Don't ask me why.
