I dont think there has ever been a person that I hate more than Joe Torre. He makes me want to rip his throat out from across the television screen. And you guys tell me he is okay or passable. He's a f***ing joke. Hey Girardi, want the job?

I would absolutely love it if Girardi turned down the Yanks' job and went elsewhere. Oh, that would be a great day.

Too bad it would NEVER happen.

Overall, Proctor pitched really well today. He was hurt by an infield single, and a bloop. Considering he didn't want to use Mo in a tie game on the road, it's not as bad a decision as some are making it out to be.

However, with that being said, I think you guys are missing Torre's biggest mistake. With Jeter out of the game, why is Cairo playing shortstop and A-Rod playing third? A-Rod, who has a much better arm, probably throws out Vizquel. I say this because Cairo made an extremely weak throw, and Vizquel didn't beat it by that much.

For what it's worth, I like where Girardi was today, I just don't like which view point he was watching the game from.

ARod is not allowed to play SS. Jeter wouldn't like it and Torre would never cross Jeter. It was the obvious right move to put ARod at SS, but politics get in the way.

If A-Rod's arm is stronger' date=' he should be at 3B. What's the problem?[/quote']

It's a longer throw from shortstop. Traditionally that is where you put your strongest arm.

And that, is the problem. Although A-Rod has played a couple of innings at short in the past three years.

I was referring more to just the situation today, but I completely agree. However, the people in charge are more concerned about PR then giving your team the best chance to win ballgames. Unfortunately, it shouldn't be a PR problem, but most fans are simply blind to facts. On top of that, like you said before, Jeter would certainly not be thrilled to see A-Rod take his position.

In his last 2 starts' date=' there have been 7 stolen bases off of Mussina[/quote']

Barry Bonds stole one today, I believe.

I am not watching the Yankees game (obviously' date=' the Sox game instead), so why did New York bring Clemens in to pitch?[/quote']

Their bullpen has been absolutely exhausted. They used it a lot on Friday and they almost ran out of pitchers yesterday during the 13-inning game. Clemens is giving them a break.

But anyway, don't you love the 5-something ERA that he's giving the Yankees for $28M this year?

11.5-game lead! B)

Haha, the Yankees just lost 2/3 to the Giants. Yankees suck.

I sorta miss the old Yanks. This is making up to be a pretty boring season.

Riverside, I was scoreboard watching at Petco yesterday and to be truthful shocked to see the Giants take it again to the Yankees. Not that I'm ready to think they are ready to cash in their chips but they seem to play a lot less effectively away from home, and it is great to see that we have pick up four of those games we lost to them during our slump. My next thought is what is George Steinbrenner up to? He is not going to sit still for this; my guess the checkbook is coming out and a persual of those available players being showcased by their teams is now under way.
