And I don't mean doggie-style or missionary (Looking at you yeszir).

I'm a pitcher.

so your boyfriend is "the catcher"? thus the username "Thumper", I guess.

eye high hanging curve balls must be turned on

Take out the curve and leave it dangling, and the fun continues. For example:

"Eye high hanging balls must be....."

And yes, the use of dangling was intentional.

I threw like a girl, so i mostly saw the bench. When i was younger my dad would spend hours trying to help me throw right but all it did was get me afraid of the ball because hed hit me with it. He gave up and i hated baseball until 5 years ago or so.

I could hit quite well though.

2B and 1B. I played outfield too, wasn't too instinctive towards the ball, but was fast. Made Kenny Lofton look like he took routes like Dimaggio. Made Lofton arm look like Clemente as well. Was much better at first base and 2nd base. Batted leadoff, rarely walked, but bunted a lot for hits.

Those were the days...

The only bunt i can succeed at now is bunt cake.

I really wish I continued playing ball, I dont know why I didnt...

Ive always loved the game... I remember a couple of web gem plays I made...

and like Gom said, those really were the days...

I can still play now, its only a matter of how to get into it again...

i want to get into baseball again. i played catcher 12 years ago. but i think its too late to try and play baseball again for me. maybe mens league softball is where ill be heading in 10 years. I want to learn to be a pitcher for my high school team, but thats crazy cause ill have to get good in 1 month, and its been a while since i last played in a league.

You're in high school and played catcher 12 years ago?

What, when you were 6?

This kid on my baseball team in high school is a sophomore and can already throw 88. The kid is f***ing ridiculous.

Dude who was in my high school (a grade above me) threw 95 consistently and was a strikeout machine. I went to one of their games and he K'd 17 and also hit a jack and drove in 3 of the 4 runs we scored. I was in awe.

But then he went on his mormon mission and ruined any chances of making it big. Which is a HUGE bummer.

Brad Baker was NASTY in HS. He threw low 90s consistently with a sick curve. Asadoorian was damn good too. Who was that kid who threw away his life after being a first rounder recently. I think he was out of Peabody, was it Arnold?

But nothing will compare to this one kid I faced when I was on a 12 yr old travel team (A LONG TIME AGO!). 6 foot 2 200+ lefty at 12 who could hit 88-90 on the gun. Facing him at 12 was almost unfair. I was just happy I got the bat on the ball. Later I heard the kid ended up in JuV and spent a bunch of time in jail. What a frickin waste.

That how it seems to be. People who are freaks of nature, or just that much better than everyone else alot of the times waste it. It's sad. I always say, "Give me 4-6 inches off that guy and I'm playing D-1..." A guy I used to work with is 6'5" and never has played basketball at all. Instead he plays hockey. I told him, give me the 5 inches and I won't be here and I'd be at Duke or UNC or Texas, and you being 6 foot won't change your hockey game. It's unfortunate. OH well. Wasn't meant to be...
