Yeah, we gotta hang onto Gonzo. I understand that Coco looks bad, but I also assume that there is something wrong with him. I'm not sure what it is, although I've heard his finger has still been bothering him.

The thing is that I WANT to like Coco. I like his style of play and I think he seems like the type of guy I can imagine winning a WS or two with this team. He's just not clicking right now for whatever reason.

He did look like a completely different hitter before he broke his finger. If his injury has had a lingering affect, they should see what he can do when he's healthy next year. WMP is starting to remind me of Dave Kingman with every passing AB and that scres the hell out of me.

Pedroia's having a good night at the dish.
He has n't looked intimidated by johnson or Yankee Stadium. That's a good sign for a young player. Coco is up and this looks like a big squander.

Nice. I had no expectation of anything good happening there. Coco and WMP have become the two most dreaded players to see coming up with runners on.

I guess Coco was due. Hopefully WMP will do something before the game is over.

That just burns me. You get the guy the lead and he walks the lead off guy. But you really can't expect much more from him than 85 pitches. He's been in the pen all year and his workload has been inconsistent. He's likely to get the long relief job in '07 with spot starting opportunities. He has a serviceable arm.

Hansen isn't that bad man. He's young but he's been in a lot of biggish situations for a 23 year old. In 2 years we won't be disappointed that we have Hansen, I assure you.

He gets Jeter to end the inning

Jeter has a nice 2 for 9 DH going.

There's his due. Not what I had in mind, but any plate appearance where no outs are made is a good one.

MVP Jeter with a 2 for 10 Double Header. Papi with 2 doubles in his first two ABs. Papi will let his bat do the talking, and if he gets some guys on in front of him he could put up some #'s over the final two weeks.

With Youk's average falling to the low .280's I don't think he should be a lock to return as the starting 1B. His 13 HRs are very underwhelming for a corner guy.
