As it turned out, its been 6 innings. So far the bullpen has worked 18.1 innings in their last 2 games

 

Beckett tomorrow has to go a solid 7 or more innings

2nd straight loss, both extra innings. The bullpen has had to work 18.1 innings, thank god for the All-Star break in between. Jon Lester will get the Royals next but the A's with among the lowest avg/obp lineup got Lester to barely last 5 innings. The offense needs to step up with some timely hitting while stranding 30 men over their last 2 games. Sox should just cut Willie Harris right now.

 

lead over Yankees is trimmed to 2 1/2 games. Beckett vs Zito tomorrow, need a strong outing from Josh & maybe I dont know some timely hitting before it has to get into a 3rd straight extra inning game
