I'm psyched. I hope two things for Saturday - One, the weather holds up and Two, that I'm not blacked out by FOX. That would absolutely suck ass and it's very possible (by a Mets game ughhh).

Motherf***er.

The Yankees/A's game is being shown here in FL on Sat.

That's probably the game I was thinking of. Here in ATL the Braves play at 4 so it's a real crap shoot for the 1pm game. All it says on TVGuide.com is that it's "payed programming".

Won't matter. Unless they get the satellite channels of Fox 25. (Highly unlikely)

Or he could be like Pauley and get knocked around against a "powerful" lineup. Toronto was no slouch, and it showed. Lester vs. the Rangers could be either be a really good thing, or a s*** show.

Rangers eat lefties for lunch, could be ugly.

It's a shame Clement(ine) needed another day of rest, because the rainout could have pushed Lester's debut back to another day. It isn't the best scenario to break into the bigs. A team that mashes LHP (.895 OPS split) in a park that doesn't suit LHP on a chilly, rainy NE day. Plus, I won't get to watch it because Fox licks monkey balls. Oh well, it is better to pop his cherry now and see how he handles it because they may need him to contribute down the stretch if they keep having problems with the rotation.

EDIT: I went to school with a kid named Nate Gray. We called him Nate the Great. I might revert and do the same with you NateGrey.

my prediction for Lester tommorow...

6.0, 4 hits, 3 R, 1 HR, 3 BB, 5 K

I'll take it.

BTW the lefty that will be pitching for the Rangers in that game is a pretty hot prospect too.

ya Rheinecker has pitched great this year, especially after his first start. It seems like most pitchers seem to pitch most better after their first major league start. So if Lester isnt great tommorow, its not the end of the world for him.

Here in Virginia they are showing the Sox game on Sat, thank you thank you thank you

Where is Virginia are you???? I live in Lynchburg and it (directv with the local fox channel out of roanoke) says it's yanks/a's! I really hope you are right but everytime last year i got stuck watching the skanks. What are the chances of a rainout for the skanks?

Something positive to build on: that’s exactly what was needed before last night’s game began and Lester delivered big time. We’ve been reading how good he is and how un-tradable he is, and I think last night we finally got to see he’s as good as advertised. I’m so glad that the Sox didn’t trade their best prospect and I feel we’re all fortunate because we get this opportunity now to see him develop.

The past 2 wins for the Sox have come at the hands of MDC and Lester. I for one am glad the farmhands are now getting their chance to shine. Yeah there will be stumbling blocks in this learning experience as they adjust to the ML. But I’m looking at 2006 as the year that Youk has come into his own, that Paps is leading the league in saves, and now Lester showing he deserves a rightful place in the rotation.

Alvarez is not going to come up....just shows you how much the sox think of him when they claim kyle snyder off waivers and give him a chance before alvarez.
