Don Orsillo's Achievements

  1. I know what you're wondering: How was Don Orsillo not fired for trying to throw something onto the field during Tuesday's game? Aren't fans thrown out when they do something like that? But you see, I'm so stupid that I can't even make a paper airplane work, so I got lucky. Thank God I work for NESN, where they have maximum requirements instead of minimum. Where else can you keep your job because you're too dumb to be able to get fired. You guys aren't done listening to me read from the Media Guide and narrate the telecast quite yet!
  2. Did everybody like it when I couldn't tell the difference between a hanging curve and a good one? Luckily, Jerry Remy was there to point out the obvious for me. It was almost as good as Monday when I thought David Ortiz was going to check signs with the third base coach. You know, because Ortiz gets the bunt sign so often. Good thing you don't have to know anything about baseball to be an announcer!
  3. Am I running off enough meaningless information tonight? Because I can run off more meaningless information for the rest of the night tonight in terms of running off meaningless information for the rest of the night tonight.
  4. Do you guys like how I'm completely ignoring Hurst? I like to just interrupt and keep calling the game when we have visitors in the booth.
  5. Kevin Youkilis began things yesterday with a lead-off solo home run to begin things yesterday. There were no runners on base.
  6. So the Red Sox acquired Javier Lopez from the Chicago White Sox, in exchange for David Riske.
  7. The Minnesota Twins have six grand slams this season. It’s the most grand slams the Twins have had in a season since the Twins had six grand slams in 1970. The Twins have six grand slams already this season.
  8. Against the American League East, the Twins are now six and four against the American League East.
  9. Mtbyker is one post shy of the millenium mark. Mtbyker has nine-hundred-ninety-nine posts so far. His next post will be his one thousandth.
  10. SoxFan02 writes in his eighth post and couldn't have picked a better time to do it!
  11. Brad Wilkerson has the night off to begin the night tonight.
  12. Nearly a twenty-four hour wait between postings for Sweet Chin Music33.
  13. David Pauley threw ninety-eight pitches against New York at New York in his second outing in a Red Sox uniform.
  14. So RoyNHSox, with Francono being the player's manager that he is, do you think Francona won't move Crisp, and will give Crisp every chance possible to come around?
  15. Rudy Seanez will turn thirty-eight on October 20th. Seanez is thirty-seven years of age.
