Unit, Yanks get look at revamped Jays

New York (6-6) at Toronto (6-6), 7:05 p.m. ET

After six games against American League West teams and six more against the Central, the Yankees travel to Toronto to open a two-game set against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, marking their first games within the AL East.

New York is riding an eight-year streak as division champions, but the new-look Blue Jays have their sights set on ending the Yankees' reign this season.

Pitching Matchup

NYY: LHP Randy Johnson (2-1, 2.25 ERA)

The Big Unit went 0-2 with a 6.14 ERA in three starts against the Jays last season.

TOR: LHP Gustavo Chacin (2-0, 4.63 ERA)

Chacin went 0-4 with a 5.32 ERA in four starts against New York in 2005.

A - Rod HR

3 - 0 Yankees.

Only two runs on one swing!? How unclutch!

Edit: Followed by a Giambi shot; 4 - 0 Yankees.

No one's catching that...

4 - 3 Yankees.

Doesn't look like it's going to be a good night for pitchers north of the border...

I'm in for a long night. I'm running the board at Wsko in providence which has the yankees contract. Lets see it's 732 4-3 in the first, this is a four hour game easily.

1st inning homerun? HAHAAHAHAHA...

U-N-C-L-U-T-C-H

Yeah, because giving your team an early lead isn't important at all.

Quit trying to validate the clutch performance of Alex Rodriguez. We all know that A-Rod can hit homeruns. Whether he can do it in late games, and in the playoffs is an entirely different question.

Friggginggg...MLB Extra Innings. Only 2 channels tonight. We get the Red Sox, and we get the Mets-Braves game. Stupid hockey.

I got them all. Weird.

Proctor in? I smell a DL trip for the big unit.

Not looking good. This blows.

..but hey, for you Red Sox fans, this is an example of how you can get off to a very good start and then blow it. So I think maybe your thoughts of Curt Schilling being invincible should be carefully reconsidered. Yes, he got off to a great start but dont bet the house on him yet, as we saw tonight with Randy.
