  1. Random. This might help. I didn't just make it up. Patsfans.com get together for parties and tailgates on road trips. It'd be a great add to the site.
  2. Is their a good meetup/road trip forum on this site. We booked hotel rooms in Baltimore for sat nt in july series and wanted to extend invite if anyone else is going.
  3. Sorry you'll be rotating the tires on the house that weekend, you'll miss out on a fun weekend. By the way what is a you are tent???
  4. I was coureous if anyone else was heading to Cooperstown,ny for Jim Rice induction weekend. We're camping out at a local campground for a really good price and I was hoping to catch up with other forum members around town.
  5. I always get my tickets day of game through Craigslist. I've never had a problem with sellers and find good tickets at or near face value.
  6. Wish I had an answer for you. Wanted to see how many people were heading down for the series. I'm taking the family to visit my sister who is at Walter Reed and catch the Tuesday night game. I wanted to let everyone know there is a boston sports fan bar where some people are gathering on monday night. It's called murphys pub on king st in alexandria,va. They are a pats/sox bar.
  7. Cool, thanks for the info. We'll be at one of these places friday.
  8. I know there is a regular poster from Syracuse on the board. Looks like I'll be making a trip up to visitn family member in the hospital this weekend. I'm wondering good spots to catch the game that maybe there are some sox fans????
  9. I know it might make me the evil to say this but after seeing other parks I think Fenway is terrible. The concourses, seat size and sightlines are absolutely terrible. I'd love to see a new park in Boston soon. The ones I've been to in order of best 1. Citizens Bank Park in Philly- This place is great in every way. Wide concourses, great seat comfort, incredible grub, kids play areas and parking with TAILGATING. 2. Camden Yards- Right behind philly minus the great parking situation. 3. Wrigley Field- Awesome place to watch a game although the bleachers will put your rear to sleep. The area around the ballpark is absolutely incredible. It really is baseball at its purest forms. 4. Rogers Centre- I went in April and it improved a ton since my first trip in 2000. They pride themselves on being fan friendly and went well beyond the means to the point I wrote a letter thanking the employees for a great experience. Good sightlines but I just don't like watching a game in domes. 5. Yankees Stadium- It was nice for sightlines but the neighborhood sucks and it's very cheesy. I don't think they celebrate the pre JFK presidency greatness anywhere but in monument park. 6. The Vet- A dump, this place sucked.
  10. It's not like this guy was chopped liver last year, he hit 301 for the season with a bad wrist and solid power. I realize we traded the greatest .500 career, 4.7 era pitcher in the history of baseball with no ability to get lefties out in the american league and hbp records were set by him. Let's be real here, we have Bronson Arroyo on the team maybe even two in Tavarez and Snyder. Should these guys get traded would they also be viewed as great pitchers in 20/200 hindsight too.
  11. Is there anyone who is from the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area on this board? I'll be in that area the night of the first sox/yanks game on April 20th and was wondering where there is a good sox crowd for a game.
  12. Both of these pitchers have cleared waivers and the sox are in talks for them to try and have quality arms here for the weekend.
  13. I can't deal with another Tavarez inning. Hope another Gm saw that he just got out of it in the paper without seeing the stress and says "we could use that guy".
  14. Morizio finished the season with Harwich and played very well. He got drafted by the Royals in round 17 and is playing rookie ball in Idaho Falls.
  15. I've got to catch a game soon, I did play by play/color for Harwich last year to help my resume. Amazing how many players this league puts into the MLB system.
  16. triple by Crawford
  17. I got to see Bard, Bates and Masterson play on the cape last year. I liked Bard even though he was occasionally erratic but absolutely love Bates. On the cape they use a wood bat and he adjusted so quickly. I'd say the bat flew off his bat second best in the league only behind Chris Emanuele (OF-Northeastern). Emanuele is still out there, hoping they grab him, second baseman Jim Negrych (pitt) and if Scott Sizemore (VCU)

  19. Jermaine Van Buren. He's pitched extremely well since Mike Timlin went on the D.L.
  20. Finally they have an updated highlight for that nesn commercial that says "did you see the catch that coco made"
  21. Try the intercontinental in K.C
  22. You're right on yanks26to6, nothing is etched in stone. I respect your opinion because you've been up 3-0 in a seven game series and lost so you speak from big time experience.
  23. I'm in for a long night. I'm running the board at Wsko in providence which has the yankees contract. Lets see it's 732 4-3 in the first, this is a four hour game easily.
  24. I saw Miller pitch twice down the Cape and there were a ton of scouts present. He has a great heater but a knee buckling curve than seems better when you throw in the 90's. He reminds me of R.J with better control early on.
  25. He had good movement but nothing found the plate, just one of those nights. If he is pitching Thursday I'm going to go again.
