Manny is a No-Show

WEEI is reporting that the Red Sox have announced that Manny will not report to FT. Myers until March 1st. I guess he'll do a drive-by and go to the WBC.

What's he going to miss, five days? Not a huge story, but I wonder how it affects the attitude of his teammates.

Well it's yet anotehr sign that shows we cannot handle our superstar(s). I'm pretty sure the FO has had anough of Manny and this won't help matters.

Im sure the FO is ready to deal with his antics for the 2006 season, keeping Manny is a must to offset the possible offensive downgrade compared to last year's lineup. They can better address the issue next offseason when such sluggers as Carlos Lee & Derrek lee are hitting free agency

Exactly. Just like I said when Manny was being Manny last year ... if I were running the Red Sox Manny could walk into my office and take a dump on my desk every day, and as long as he put up his numbers I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I dont even know who that is, but ... duh. He can hit ... that's why he's able to do what he does. If he couldn't hit he wouldn't be doing this s***, because he wouldn't be in MLB.

He's just a very immature guy. Hopefully, it won't affect his team mates. WEEI and the journalists have to lay off this. It's nothing new.

Maybe if he could actually play defense, or run out ground balls, or run on potential double plays, or run in general.

 

I guess I'm the only person here who's wicked pissed that Manny's too good to show up on time.... so I'll just keep my opinions to myself and hope that he does hit enough to justify fact that he's a selfish a-hole who's way overpaid to be a one-dimensional player.

I don't really care, but I also heard he had permission to not show up until that later date. SUpposedly, he's doing some physical therapy thing.

 

But again, as long as he's the Manny we all know and love on the baseball field, I don't really care.
