Red Sox tickets. Any of you who went through the same s*** I did, the day the 06 tickets came out, waiting in a god damn virtual waiting room, and then all for nothing. By the time you get picked, bleacher seats for July 17th against the Royals are gone. (for two seats together.)

That, I don't know who to blame, but it was ********.

Now, as some of you may know, there was a drawing for the opportunity to buy Red Sox-Wankees tickets, Monster Seats, and the Right Field Roof seats.

Well, I entered. And won.

I've won the opportunity to buy home, Boston-New York tickets.....

.....and I can't go.

All the games are either during the school week of testing for high school, or during the time in August when I'm on a Caribbean cruise. Now, I'd love a cruise, but I'd rather be in Boston. f***.

No telling how mad I am right now.

My locker got jammed before lunch last year. That sucked too. I couldn't get my lunch out, and I lost my spot at the table and had to sit with the nerds.

Not only is life hard, but it sucks too. Haha, yeah...

But, seriously, how do you guys think that 2 consecutive bleacher seats against the Royals(my last resort) weren't available? On the first day of release?

I know this is last minute, but sometimes people give up their seats right before a game. So sometimes, if you look for tickets to games the very next day or later in the week, you can get something good. It worked for a friend and I last year.

Yeah, it sucks to miss a big game especially afetr you earned the tickets. Happened to me in 03, missed game 5 of the ALCS because of a funeral or a guy who was an ass to my family, but at least it wasn't historic game, because next year I got Game 5 ALCS tickets again, the classic extra inning game with Papi ending it and sending it back to NY.

Well, things kinda evened out for me. I got row four of section L39A in Center Field, for May 1st. But the biggest appeal of this game: Johnny Damon's first game back in Boston. I'm going to have to boo the f*** out of him.

As a yankees fan, does Ortiz scare you at the plate as much as say... Sheffield scares me?
I'm not a Yankee fan but I'll answer that. NO! No one (except for maybe Barry Bonds) scarier to the New York Yankees than David Ortiz.

Congrats ! I spent seven hours yesterday on the second chance Yankees chance to buy tickets and got ... nothing.. what a waste.

Cape, I live in California and it would be useless for me to even try to send away for Red Sox tickets. What I've done instead is buy one of the Red Sox travel packages, and I will be flying in April 10th for a tour of Fenway Park, meeting a few of the players, and tickets for the first two games. The Red Sox offer numerous packages during the year and you may want to purchase one. Since you live so close the expense would a lot less than it is f or me and you would be guaranteed of seeing our beloved team a few time this year.

If not as much, then more. But after RIvera made him look foolish that night, i've toned down.

But Ortiz is still somebody that makes me cringe when I see him.

Same here. Ortiz could hit a pop up in the infield and I'll just assume it's a homerun.

Thanks for the option. However, I was pissed about the complete waste of my time on a useless excerise. There was no way I was going to get any decent tickets from that exercise. The tickets were inconsequental compared to the time lost. Money can be replaced, time can't. I immediately went and acquired NY Yanks tickets after that. But I had to make up that time by working latter and latter. I'm getting a little old to be working till 3 or 4 in the morning. I rarely go the games anyways ( tickets go to the family, friends, & talksox ).

Capeman, I don't know how you feel because it hasn't happened to me that way, though I did waste an hour on the phone being told a rep would be with me right away. That was when Spring Training tickets went on sale and I got on the phone as soon as the ticket office opened. No luck. When I called three hours later, though, I got right through. Of course, I could only get tickets for the last three games of Spring Training. Those who got through first got the tickets for the earlier games. At least I got the tickets before I made travel plans. Someone in the Red Sox customer department should be taken out to the woodshed for this crap. It is a great way to turn fans off to a team that is beloved by them.
