Brian Scalabrine is an honorary black guy imo. He's so white that his whiteness exploded within itself like a black star, so maybe that technically means he's black on the inside. I don't know, we need an expert opinion.

Also, not really NBA related (yet anyway), but Kentucky star Nerlens Noel tore his ACL last night, he was expected to be a top 10 pick in the draft, hopefully he recovers fully and quickly. It would suck to see a kid lose a shot at the NBA due to an injury in college.

I honestly cant see anyway the Heat don't win a championship. Especially with the way Lebron is playing on both ends of the floor.

By not having the rest of the team play average. In many occasions, LeBron scores a lot of points but if the rest of the team sucks, they lose. It could happen in the playoffs but as of right now looking strong to repeat.

Well I'm a big Lebron fan and always have been, Ill definitely be rooting for Heat to win as long as Wizards aren't playing them (which obviously isn't happening lol).

 

Id love to see Lebron get another MVP and win another ring this season.

If the Thunder couldn't beat the Heat last year, they won't do it this year. They're a worse team without James Harden, and the Heat are a better team.

 

Yeah I honestly don't know who can beat them. Nobody in the east can handle them. Spurs are too old for the playoff grind. If the Lakers somehow make it through the west and are firing on all cylinders in June, they'd probably have the best chance, but it's probably too late for them.

So tonight I was reminded why I stopped watching NBA all-star Saturday nights.

I don't know why anyone expects anything out of the NBA all star weekend. It's been pretty bad the past couple years.

I didn't really watch much of it, I was working and then went out, but I thought Terrence Ross had some good dunks.

Only worthy dunk he had, was the dunk he paid respect for Vince Carter. I didn't watch it either since I was working, just saw highlights.

Since when is there a minimum score of 30 for a dunk attempt? That pussifies the whole thing. If you don't complete the dunk, you shouldn't get any points. Period. The problem is two fold because not only can some failure get over half of the maximum score even if he fails to complete a dunk attempt, but to balance that out the scores for other dunks have to be inflated. Not one dunk last night deserved a 50 or anything close, but I think at least a third of them got 50s.

 

If you do flub a dunk, okay, it happens. But if you get another attempt, at least have the deceny to change it up and not try the same exact dunk again. Once you tip your cards, there's no excitement left, it's just a matter of if you can actually complete it. The judges should enforce this by severely marking someone down each time they fail a dunk and then try it again, motion for motion, regardless of if they actually finish it. Up until like the fourth time, then they should just tell them to get off the floor.

 

Last night really was an embarrassment. Toddler camps have stricter rules and more intense atmospheres.

Why I hate the dunk contest is how they made it a joke. You know the history of the dunk contest, many of the greatest basketball players have entered the dunk contest. MJ, DR. J, Wilkins, etc. They put these scrub ass, no name players in the competition with some weak ass dunks. I'm talking about dunks kids can do on a little tikes hoops. It's absolutely embrassing and a disgrace what they did to this crap. And LeBron should be in the dunk contest. Not because he's a great player but because of all the teasing he has done. I mean come on now, you say you're going to enter the dunk contest, then bail? Then you tease with a tweet that says "dunk contest?". My problem with him not being in the dunk contest is because of the way he keeps trying to hype it up. Either get in it or simply shut the f*** up. He could elevate the slam dunk contest again, it's getting worse and worse every year. I honestly rather them take it out completely then this crap.

Was that the one Jeremy Evans attempted like eight times? I was in disbelief watching that, and not in a good way. That dude bombs the same exact dunk over and over and over again, everybody knows what he's trying (and failing) to do, and when he finally completes it he has the nerve to f***ing sign the thing he jumped over? f*** you, you benchwarmer, you sucked absolutely all the energy out of the building in the time it took you to actually complete that f***ing dunk. Hell if some special olympics kid pulled that it wouldn't even be cute, I'd boo his ass. If I had paid for a ticket last night and saw that after all the embarrassment that preceded it I would have thrown batteries at the guy.

I've long since stopped watching dunk contests (and all of any non MLB all star activities), so I just saw a clip of the completed dunk online. I didn't know it took that many tries. If I was the network I'd have just edited out the misses and shown the last clip of the dunk.
