A walk to start the eighth...to set up a DP!

Thanks Small for the great pitching. Yours and Chacon's record don't exactly show how big you've been for the Yankees.

Time to score some runs. ??

Good pitching, bad offense. Good offense, bad pitching. Go figure. Sure am looking forward to the Rangers.

Edit: Extra innings. Using Mo in no-save situation. Using Mo in possible LOSS situation. Bernie lets ball drop.

AHHHHHH! Nononononono.

Posada = automatic out. Martinez walks.

Sometimes I just want to get really, really angry with how Torre manages the bullpen. So paying for it now.

According to Chicago Tribune Wright could be back as early as next week. If Leiter blows, then he could be re-inserted into the rotation; otherwise if Chacon and Small continue performing, why mess with a good thing? Relief is needed.

Bernie shouldn't start in center again. Ya hear that, Torre?

Posada, what are we going to do with him...

Rivera's ERA wants compensation for being inflated.

For the series, the Yankees hit .167 and went 1-19 with RISP. Bats go cold again.

Yeah, I also didn't have any idea we had a game thread going. I watched pretty much the whole thing -- and thanks to Rivera & Williams, my day was close to fantastic. Thanks a lot Yankee old timers. Including Jeter striking out in the ninth, Posada looking bad & Williams running slowly to a ball and allowing the triple.

So there I am, sitting in the upper deck of Yankee Stadium minding my own business. I'm enjoying what appears to be a pitcher's duel in the 3rd inning, and then all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye, I see a family of four Red Sox fans come and sit right next to me.

I started chuckling because I found it hilarious. They kept to themselves for most of the game, started going nuts in the 10th when Chicago went ahead (I haven't seen the replay, but I'm positive the ball beat the runner. Wouldn't surprise me if Posada didn't get the tag down). Kind of annoying, but whatever, it was expected.

So we go into the bottom of the 10th, and Posada's up and gets out (of course). They pinch hit Tino, he walks and they change pitchers. I get up on my chair and try to get the guys to stand up and make some noise. Nobody moved. It was like they gave up. It was pathetic, that was the worst part of the day for me. With 2 out Cano hit a shot to right-center, but held up at the warning track to end it. It really seemed like the fans didn't care.

I need to sit in the bleachers of Yankee Stadium, with the real fans.

Its bad when your team isn't playing well, but it's worse when the fans don't give a s***. My sympathies.

Yeah the replay showed the ball did beat him, but Posada was a tad slow getting the ball down. Uribe just got his foot in. Was a VERY close play nontheless.

And yes, knowing you, I know you care about your team, and I have to agree, when you're sitting with scrubs of fans at a game that just don't care anymore, it sucks. Plain and simple. I'm sorry :(

Wright I believe is supposed to start next Tuesday. I also believe the opponent will be the Devil Rays.
