i jiust never seen that before in a game, trot gets hit by a rolling groundball so that means he is out--i though players can only be tagged out by the actual opposing players not getting hit by a ball

you cant get hit by a batted ball in fair territory. thats why they tell you in little league to stay in foul territory when you are leading off on 3rd.

It's from the movie Spaceballs.

What do you take me for, a fool? Of COURSE I know that, sheesh. I was just wondering who he was calling Dark Helmet.

Well, some people have, for some insane reason, not been exposed to the genius that is Spaceballs.

With that said...

f***ing Devil Rays.

That's right little guy, the Sox are.

so much for mr dirt dog. damn, he is so overhyped with his fielding. he needs to stop trying to get webgems on every ball hit to him. if he played it off the wall no one would of scored.

Eh, we'll be back tomorrow. I have a good feeling we get a win considering Clement will take the mound and I really think our offense will show up since Mark "I gave up 6 runs without even recording an out at Fenway last week" Hendrickson. ;)

Tex, you how it is. It's always like "this guy sucks against the sox, remember last time?" then the game starts, nine innings later the dude has 7 innings, 10K's and 1 hit.

Don't even start. Let it go.

Or is this the moment when we start bashing Trot and Schill?

you are the one that thought you can only get tagged out. i was just giving you an example with the little league comment. if you never seen a play where a runner gets hit with a ball and get called out for it then you havent been around the game for very long.

I would not blame this loss on Trot or Schilling. I would blame it on Francona’s poor managing of the game.

Basic baseball coaching rule: “Whenever the starting pitcher exits a game, he creates a defensive gap (or weakness), which means the manager must make the defensive moves to counter this gap”. Wells exited the game at the top of the 7th, so why Millar was still in the game at the bottom of the 7th? Olerud was ready!

It all started when Millar could not handle an easy throw in the 7th. That same runner scored! The score was tied.

I’ll tell why he kept Millar: Millar was due to bat in the 8th. He was 0-3 with two strikeouts, and Francona wanted to give him a chance to bat. Millar batted and got another strikeout (as expected) and was 0-4.

Francona likes to please Millar. This is not the way to coach.

Good managers stick with the fundamentals.

Joe, let me ask you something, you pathetic weasel. Why is it, you moron, that you only seem to show up after the Red Sox lose, dork? You come in, *******, and bash Francona after we lose, idiot. Then we win a few games, douchebag, or we lose a few in ways you cant 'blame Francona", and you disappear, f***face. Then when something happens, jackass, you come in to bash Francona for a bit and then leave again, wanker. Try posting normally and not just bashing, ****rag, and maybe I wont begin to think youre just an ignorant troller, imbecile.
