You do realize that B.J. Ryan will be heavily pursued by the Yankees and it is a well known fact that Steinbrenner and Cashman have coveted him for years, so I doubt they will spare any expense.

If the you guys get Brian Giles that doesn't bode well for us. He's a 35 homerun hitter in a ballpark not named Petco, who will come on the cheap side.

Konerko is the better choice for the Sox. Huff is a lefty who is fairly neutralized by lefties. So batting him behind Ortiz is a godsend in the late innings. Walk Ortiz, bring in the lefty to take out Huff and probably Nixon also. With Konerko as a right-handed force that would probably be tougher for teams to handle. Konerko's homers would go down most likely, not much but some, but his average would skyrocket. Konerko behind Ortiz is more dangerous than Huff behind Ortiz.

Trading Manny to the Mets is not going to give you as much as you would hope. Omar has been reluctant about trading any of his farm system, nonetheless David Wright. Chances are if you get any prospect at all it will be Lastings Milledge. Think Trachsel, Cameron, and Milledge at the most.

You do realize that the undetermined prospect in that deal is not going to be some half-ass prospect. Think good prospect. Alvarez is not worth much.

He is worthless. Who cares if he is home grown if pretty much all he can do is GIDP? His catching skills are mediocre, he calls a crappy game, and he his bat is on a precipitous decline. Plus he has never hit in the post-season, unless you consider a bloop double and a solo homer of Zito postseason success. I'm loyal to the Yankees just not this player. His whole career, he had sailed along holding onto Jeter and Mariano's coattails.

When I am right, I am going to make sure everyone knows it. I came back this morning just to add my point of view and I discovered this and I made sure that everyone remembered I was correct. So instead these guys had to go all A-Rod/Arroyo on me and pull the bush-leage racist card.
