Well this year the power numbers are definetly there for Manny. But with the .272 batting average isnt manny like at all. He has 23 homers, 83 rbi's ya i mean theres no other player out there tht i would want at the plate with runners in scoring position then Man-Ram. But it alwayz seems tht Manny is the 1 to strike out to end a ball game. It just seems tht Manny isnt Manny this year. I hope he breaks out of the .270's whitch i dont think hes gotten out of all year.

wut do u guys think ;)

Why would you take the time to substitute a Z for an S in "always". It's the same amount of letterz, anyway.

I have a feeling that you are going to have a lot of similar replies to MaNnY4pReZ24's posts.

Don't let his BA confuse you on the way he's playing. Over the last 30 days he's hitting .318, so it's not like this is a major slump or anything. Manny will be fine.

ya but we are used to seeing manny be well in the .300 by now. Im not worryin i just wanna no peeps opinions. well his OBP is good rite now cuz hez been getting walked alot latley.

Wuts tht supposed to mean.

manny is doing "manny" this year, entering June he was in just a cold slump hitting only .257, with the numbers he has produced, Batting average he has right now means jack s***.

since June 1:

42 hits for 138 at bats--8 doubles, 12 HRs, 42 RBIs, 30 runs scored, 16 walks, 27 Strikeouts

Ya i agree im just wondering if people actually think that manny should be atleast a .300 hitter.

Nooooooo he's only making 19 million dollars a year. Now Mark Bellorn, that guy should be hiting .300.

What the hell is this kid talking about its manny your talking about you know that right. He has come big every at bat it seems like. That batting average will definetly reach .310 or something this year.

I couldnt agree more with you what happened to Bellhorn he was big last year maybe try him in the two hole where he had success last year.

but then where do you put Renteria? I don't think Francona should mess with the batting order just to make Bellhorn comfortable. Maybe Youk can learn to play second and Bellhorn can become a reserve

so far this is how i see it will look for 2006 season

1. cf Johnny Damon (hoping he resigns)

2. 1b kevin youkilis (not hard of transition from 3rd base to 1st base, plus want to see my fav player mueller stay in for one last season)

3. dh David Ortiz

4. lf Manny Ramirez

5. c Jason Varitek

6. rf Trot Nixon

7. ss Edgar Renterria

8. 3b Bill Mueller

9. 2b Dustin Pedroia

reserves:

c Doug Mirabelli

1b John OLerud

2b Alex Cora

cf/lf/rf Gabe Kapler

yeah very true, was just thinking so far bottom of the order would give him more chances to get better RBIs than he has done halfway this season, i do admit love when in an inning; edgar, ortiz and manny are expected to hit. Also hands down Edgar is the best bunter of the red sox, especially key situations.

What are you thinking when you say you hope Johnny Damon quits. Johnny is the base of the team. I mean he may not be a power hitter, but he runs better then anyone else, and he's a great base hittter. If anyone should go, look for someone in the bullpen. That's where they need the real help

Manny vs. LHP- .194 AVG, .700 OPS

Manny vs. RHP- .313 AVG, 1.025 OPS

Something is wrong there, Ramirez shouldn't have the 2nd lowest average vs. LHP in all of baseball (according to ESPN Broadcast)

Manny hasnt impressed me at all not just by his hitting, but by his attitude. It pisses me off how he stands there after every hit and admires how well he did his job, its rediculous and with that attitude i have grown to not like him as much. He is a lazy lazy ballplayer. This year the power numbers are there but not the average. It seems as though hes batting 320 so im not two worried about that.
